They said it had a 180° crank which I think is bs because its an inline twin. Inline twins have 0° or 360° however you see it. And it sounds normal. It would sound funny kinda like its missing with a 180° crank.

Engine in the 800 are 360 degrees, but 900 and 1000 are 180 degrees.

The biggest difference I can see so far is the head and the crank.The bore is still the same. The crank is 9.1mm longer stroke and the head is quite a bit different. Looks like it flows a lot of air. Intake is bigger and the exhaust is an oval port exit instead of round like the 900. The exhaust valves are smaller than the 900 probably to keep velocity through the larger port design. The cams appear to be the same aside from being different lift and duration.

The exhaust cam is supposedly the same as the cam in the 900 jagged X.
So are the valve springs, according to the parts drawings.
