yes... custom built 8.5x22 9' tall with a 8.5' door..10k gvw built by Apache trailers in fontana ca. 9000.00 fits a rzr-s and a rzr4, tools, spares,tires,fuel

 

i posted this on another thread. i was worried that mine would not fit with about a 5 inch differance. but i used a valve stem remover and took out most of the air and was able to drive it in, well i watched as my wife drove it in. stock height is about 75 inch, my trailer is about 70 to 71 inch high. just lower the tire presure with a 70 inch trailer and you should be able to fit it in. not syre if all trailers will work but it did for mine. road force trailer made by weels cargo.

 

now thats trailer with room to spare !i am looking at these trailers that say there 77 tall at the door so i might take my rzrz 4 over there and try it first before buying it. i really want ta toy hauler but cant find one that i can get my rzrz 4 and the rzrz 170 in

Sorry just put the RZR4 in it today and put it in storage (so I don't have the hight). No I don't have to take air out of the tires I have around 2-3 inches to the spring. Total after thought got LUCKY. Will check on it next week if you still need it . Great trailer

Most of the trailer companies will build the trailer taller, usually in six inch increments. When I was looking at trailers Haulmark, Wells Cargo, and Mirage all had taller options but it added another 6 weeks of delivery time

 

Just got a Haulmark 24' "Light Cargo" with a 6" extended height from Yucaipa trailer (CA) for $5795 + tax & doc fees. They happened to have one ordered so I didn't have to wait, but it typically is about 6 weeks if you order the extended height. No frills barebones except for the extended height but it fits my RZR 4 and RZR S no problem with about 4"-5" of ramp door clearance for the stock 4's 75" height. Add about $300 per every 6 inches in height. Standard ramp door height on most enclosed's is not enough for the 4 unless you lower tire pressure. Most specs only show interior height, make sure they give you "ramp door clearance". I say $300 well spent. Typically cheaper in the south and east.

Yea iam looking to have a trailer made also with the extra 6 inches also. i think i might go with 20 or 24 and pay the 350 xtra and get the white vynal walls and maybe pay the 200 for the floors so the wife dosent feel like shes sleeping in wood box she said.that on the walls sure does dress it up good.i want air but have to wait or i could end up spending 8000 when i get done.i can get the 24 with walls and floors done for around 6000 out the door.are going to sleep in yours ever ?

 

Another solution to the problem is install Legand Air shocks. They drop the unit down to 4" from the floor. I bought a 20' enclosed that was in stock, got a great deal on it but the RZR was about 1/2" to tall to get in the door. Had to reposition the covering on the door spring. I had 3" Rok Tek lift kit. I am in the process of installing the Legand Air shocks. Not complete yet but will solve the height problem, will have plenty of head room.

 

I originally had a big plan to go 28' and put in a sink, toilet, fold down beds, vinyl walls and clg, generator, additionals lights, etc., basically make it into a custom made toy hauler. Had that thing up to 11 or 12K before I even modified it but decided we didn't want to take it that far and still feel like we were sleeping in a box. I'm thinking about going in style with a motor home to pull it, but I'm a little freaked out about a 31' motor home pulling a 24' trailer. Still undecided.

 

Don't forget to install the bathroom, closet, Checker board floor, Wood paneling and the radio. It really spiffs up a cargo trailer

I did it. Its just a standard cargo trailer with +6 extra height. Its got a full bathroom. Shower, sink and toilet. 46 gallon freshwater tank, 36 greywater and 15 black water tank. 6 Gallon electronic Hotwater heater. Has a power converter wired for 12 and 110. Also has an AC on it now.. Has a fold down full size bed frame and a Twin size bunk. Pretty much a mini ToyHauler.. Only weights about 2600Lb dry. I've got a post floating around in the trailer and tow pig forum with build pictures. Cost me about 1500 to convert it not counting the AC which I just added a few weeks ago.. We drive pretty far sometimes to go ride so I wanted something small and light. The trailer is only a 6'x14'

 

You get a RZR 4 in there with all that? It's 11'-12' long. Or do you haul something smaller?

I've just got a standard with a +4 and a 3" lift. The garage is a little over 11' long. You could do the same thing with a larger trailer.. Infact it would be easier to get it all to fit.. Again I tried to keep mine as small and light as I could. I've got about 3' to spare with my standard RZR. For a RZR4 you would probably want a 16 or 18 footer.

The stuff really isn't that expensive.. Toilet is about 100 bucks.. Figure couple hundred for plumbing parts.. What gets you is the holding tanks.. Since they run 100-200 each. The tile and paneling isn't much.. I think the tile cost me 130. Paneling and FRP was a few hundred bucks.. Like I said all together it was about 1500. Larger trailer you would need more tile and more paneling.. But that isn't that expensive.. The cost is in the bathroom stuff

If you lived a little closer I'd help you for free lol. My neighbor built him one also to haul his RZR and to camp in.

Yeah you need a pump. I just used a flojet 2.9 GPM pump.. They run about 60 bucks on ebay with free shipping. For the plumbing you dont want to use PVC in a RV. PVC gets brittle over time. Even when new it doesn't handle vibrations and flexing well.. You want PEX Tubing and fittings.. Any big box store sells it along with any plumbing supply store. The Tubing is very cheap but the fittings cost a little more then PVC. For the sewer and vent lines you use ABS pipe.. It looks like black PVC. Cuts and glues the same way. But ABS is lighter then pvc and is also more flexible.
For your RV stuff get on ebay. Things like your toilet, shower head, hotwater heater all that stuff you can get on there pretty cheap.

 

FWIW to me PEX is easier then PVC. All the fittings are barbed fittings with a crimp ring.. So you can dry fit all your plumbing before you secure a single connection. Once you get it how you want it you just crimp the connections with a set of crimpers.. The holding tanks aren't hard either. Really the hardest part to me was just laying everything out. Figuring out where I wanted what. The only other issue is with a cargo trailer with drop axles you dont have a ton of ground clearance.. So you have to get holding tanks that are shallow. Like 8-9 Tall. If you decide to give it a try and have questions just ask. Its really not that hard if you have some basic tools..

 

I have a 24' Pace Trailer. Door opening is 73". I can fit the the RZR-4 in with me and a passenger in the rear passenger side. Suspension compresses enough to clear the opening.

 

thats prety good . that means it drops down about 4 inches when you get in

 

The specs have the 4 at 75" although I've never actually measured, and that would be without hardtop (if that makes much difference).
I have a feeling I'll be putting on a 2-3" lift kit, maybe even bigger tires at some point as I've already hight centered it, so I wanted to make sure I have additional door clearance.

 

Something else you can try also.. If you drop the front of the trailer down and back your RZR in you get more clearance.. Its a little hard to explain why but when you try it you will see This can make a difference of a couple inches..

 

to drop it down in the front you have to un hook it from the truck right ?

 

You could or just pull the front of your truck on a hill Just try backing your RZR in. You will be surprised at the difference in clearance.. You might not even need the front of the trailer lower. The idea is the steeper the ramp angle the more clearance you get up top.. So either lower the front of the trailer or hang the back off a hill or drop off..

 

i roll with a 24' x 8x5' wells that will fit my rzr s just fine without havin to let any air out of the tires...........imo, you shud go with at least a 24' trailer...........at times i wished mine was a bit bigger..........:headbang:

 

back in black do you have the rzr 4 ? if so it clears with no problems ? nice trailer and truck. you neeed it in all black back in black

You did a really good job with that. I really don't care for all of the luxurys of a full on toy hauler so an enclosed trailer with some bells and whistles like yours would be perfect. Plus is a fraction of the cost of a toy hauler!! Thanks for the link!

HAHA thanks for the offer but I've never taken a project like this on before. I'd rather have my learning curve on my own trailer before I goofed up with someone elses hard earned dollars lol
