Hi All, I've been thinking about all the electrical stuff behind my drivers seat. I know that polaris has moved some of it up under the hood due to over-heating etc on the newer models (i have 2X 08's). do any of you recommend re-wiring all this to a better location (or building it all into a pelican case) or is everything fine right where it is? I've put dielectic on everything back there so it doesnt get too wet but should all this technically be moved? Thank You

You damn sure don't want your voltage regulator in a sealed Pelican box, it would fry itself. That is all that Polaris moved up front by the radiator. I have a 20" LED lightbar, HID headlights, and a stereo with amp on my 2008 and haven't moved mine. I have only had the low voltage flash one time at night, and that's it. I see no good reason to move mine.

It sorta depends on your setup.. If you have a windshield and you do a lot of slow trail riding its a good chance it will over heat.. If your cab is open or you ride faster trails your probably fine. A lot of is the power your pulling, but how much air it gets while your pulling that power is most of it..

Especially since on your '09 it's where it needs to be--up front where it can get air.
:rofl3:

Moving mine to install second fuel tank...

Ahhh the dream..I see my fuel is low, flip a switch...and the fuel is pumped from my auxiliary tank to my regular tank..done.....it will be done, oh yes, it will be done!!
