Hey folks,
I own a 2018 rzr 900 S EPS
It been in and out of the shop since day one. It started off losing power steering.
Dealer said they fixed the issue with a relay. Took it for a spin seemed good.
We went for a good trail ride the next
Week and she was over heating because the fan was not coming on….I moved some relays around and everything was good, or so I thought.
Back to the dealer we go. They fu#ked around with it again. I drove it home from the dealer and 2 miles down the road no power steering 😡.
Soooo back to the dealer we go. I live in Canada and don’t ride in the winter so I said keep it for the winter figure this and once and for all!.
3 months later spring is here and it was “fixed” they said it was an issue with main ground….I checked that many times before. Anyways seemed ok. Went for a rip with a buddy and he was swamped in mud, so I pulled up to winch him out and no power to the winch!! 🤬🤬. Good thing I had a tow strap.
went home after the ride and moved some relays around again seemed ok.
3 week later go to start the RZR and battery dead fu€k. Boosted it. (Didn’t go far) was scared to.
So I had baby and didn’t use it all summer. Buddy and I thought let’s go for a ride before we get to much snow last (week) RZR wouldn’t start so I moved it from drive to N,park and wiggled the key and she fired. So here we go. Get 30 mins into our ride and the fuc%ker over heated. Dicked around with relays again and this time nothing was working. Would not start and had nothing showing on the dash. Towed it back to his farm and we boosted it. Ran for 5 mins then shut off no power at all.
dealer is saying likely needs wiring harness, but it no longer under warranty.
HELP please this sounds expensive.

Step one… Don’t go back to that dealer!!! They are just guessing and throwing parts at it at your expense.

If they say it needs a wiring harness, they should be able to tell you why. They should be able to specify what wire is bad where. Otherwise it’s just a WAG (wild assed guess).

I am an auto mechanic, and shops like this make me angry.

If I give a car back to someone, and it comes right back for the same issue, they get their vehicle back a second time with an apology, not another bill, and a guarantee that it is fixed. I am very thorough, and have only a rare comeback a couple times a year at

ALL repair charges made at a shop should have a clear description of the problem found, what steps were taken to remedy it, and the parts used.

Take it to a different shop, only tell them your current symptoms (leave out the story) and let them diagnose it. If they cannot provide you with a specific diagnosis of the problem then do not authorize any repairs. Just move on to the next shop.

One thing you should check (or have checked) is any and all wiring changes or additions from aftermarket accessories. Many electrical issues are caused by hack installations of accessories. Cutting and splicing wires works today, but once those exposed wires start to corrode the problems surface.

Unfortunately the dealer I purchased it from is the one doing the work under warranty. It was under warranty when the first issue popped up and they have been trying to fix it at no charge thankfully.
But I called them out on the case number through Polaris and they never notified Polaris on the machine going in under warranty so they kinda F”Ed them selves. Hopefully when I call them tomorrow they get on the horn to Polaris and figure it out.

I have tested the volt Reg and I’m seeing 14.35 v when running. I unplug it and drops to 12.36 v so that’s working...

I have seen the following fault codes.
520207 4
520230 31
524086 4
168 4

also now my winch the dealer installed is dicked i ohm out the yellow and blue wire and have continuity.
