Dust in Rear of PRO4

I know there have been tons of threads talking about dust over the years and I know dust is inevitable but I have a unique issue right now.

Dust was never an issue with my 2 seaters but my last 2 rigs have been 4 seaters. My XP4 had a full front and rear windshield with full doors and you would get dusty even if you were by yourself but it wasn't horrendous. My Pro has full windshield with vents, full rear window, adjustable vents on the roof, extension on the lower side of the front doors. My issue is the rear seats (my kids) get covered. At speed I can look back and see it billowing in on them from every gap around the doors.

Has anyone had a similar issue? fixes?

I'm thinking of trying brush seals on the doors to eliminate or reduce any gap for the dust to find its way in.

My buddy has a 2020 XP2 and he had both a front and rear windshield and I finally convinced him to remove both windshields and he saw a night and day difference. I have heard that the Tusk Wing Vent Kit For POLARIS RZR Pro XP does work very well for the Pro-XP4:

Dust? OMG the dust coming from the rear on my 2021 Pro XP 4 is horrendous! I have the Polaris full windshield, Polaris bed storage boxes and the Polaris spare tire carrier over the bed. It seems like at speeds greater than 30 mph is when dust starts coming in the rear interior area. I'm getting so much dust that my S&B Particle Seperator just can't handle all the dust. I'm currently working with S&B for a fix for this problem. Their support has been fantastic. The last fix was S&B actually came to my house and replaced the complete unit. I'm in testing right now to see if that fixes the problem.

I sure hope someone has a fix to this problem. As per my wife's opinion - removing the front windshield is NOT an option.

Just my two cents.
Since quite a bit of dust would come through between the door panels and the door frame, using black silicon and putting a bead around the inside of the door might help.
And maybe the vents on the roof need to adjust too, moving an inch or two might work.

Have you installed the rear wheel well block offs? Taping off the drain ports in the floor? I bought the Kemimoto wheel well block offs and that has helped cut down on the dust. I am not running a full windshield though. I only have the Polaris Half shield and seems to work fine for us right now. We don't need googles and it deflects all the air above us so we are not getting a face full. I wouldn't have bought it but someone had returned it to the dealership because it interfered with something on their cage. I paid half price for it so I couldn't complain.

I haven't installed any wheel well block offs. I have two of the Polaris storage boxes that completely fill the bed, so I the drain plugs are blocked off. I'm thinking about mounting some type of rear air deflector on the roof to direct air directly into the bed area where my particle separator's air intake is located.

This is the problem child S&B Particle Seperator for my Pro XP. All three air intakes face the rear and just suck why to much dust that just overwhelms the unit.

I'm 70 years old, my parents raised me to experience real life problems, I spent 20 years in the military, I'm a Viet Nam era vet, so I think it's safe to say I'm not a millennial. Dust doesn't mean a rats ass to me for comforts sake. I don't think you read my earlier post about the amount of dust killing my particle separator. I just want clean air going into my engine.

I added these to my Pro XP 4 - lot of dust in the rear seats and will see how well they on our trip to sand Hollow next weekend. I have stock doors, no winshield, and no rear screen - I put in a OEM Polaris half windshield and the dust was substantially worse.

This company makes great products, they are a small shop about a mile from my house, I'll have to swing by and grab some.

I have done everything including adding the vents except remove my windshield which I will do in nicer weather. Only thing I have found to keep the dust out my Pro XP 4 is to carry a battery powered Milwaukee compact leaf blower. Works great. Just blow it out every few stops

I really hope the particle separator issue gets resolved, i want one, after 1 ride of about 80 miles I tapped about a cereal bowl full of dirt out of my filter, I could have got more but I was swapping my new S&B filter in anyways, the intake pipe was clean regardless, but I'd still like to extend service intervals longer than 1 ride.

I just changed my filter and oil and have to say my filter was pretty dusty but the intake inlet was clean. I don't do any group rides so i'm not driving in a dust cloud the entire time. That could be why but I don't know. I know the inside of my machine and we are usually covered at the end of the day of a long trail ride.

I have a friend with a XP Pro. He said the dust was terrible. There's a a gap in the rear fender wells open to the cab. I used some pieces of foam to fill the gaps. He says it's 90 percent better.

I've gone a little bit of a different route. I built an overhead fan setup that I'm hoping will create positive airflow to keep the dust out....mostly its to cool us off in the hot desert months, but hoping there's a side effect on dust. We'll see, just about have it all finished up and going to mount it this weekend. Only $100 into it.

Rear wheel well block offs surprised me by cutting down dust by about 90% in my pro xp4.... Now I just get the occasional puff under the front doors.... I use a half windshield as well. I didn't realize how much dust was just coming in from the rear wheelwells all the way to the front seats....

I would surely be concerned with a Particle separator in the wheel well. It ought to be mounted high enough to not be breathing the dust right from the churning tires. Also what about the dust in your filter box? It seems there is some dust around the edges which suggests some dusty air leaking through the cover seal. You would do well to put a coat of grease along the rubber seal to assure that no dust comes into the filter from seal leakage.

I 've done the grease on the air box seal. Didn’t help...
