The 2010-2011 dune parking permits are now available on the ASA's website. If you buy your permit through them they get 10% of the permit price. What better way to donate to a great organization and get the the permit you gotta buy anyways. Here is a link to their website-American Sand Association
While there look at signing up for membership. If you sign up for a 25 dollar membership they give you a 25 dollar gift card to Rocky Mountain atv. It's a pretty good deal. Thanks to the ASA's hard work we may even see some more dunes get opened up in the next few years. Any support that we can give them helps our cause. Thanks

Quick question if you will.

I haven't decided between the season pass and the weekly pass yet. How does the weekly pass work?? Does it start from when they receive your order?? That doesn't seem to make sense to me. Do I get to punch the holes for the period that I will be out there??

I just can't picture it.....

Thanks,
Dave

Where is the link on the ASA web page to buy permits? Still says:

"FOR 2009-2010 SEASON ARE DONE FOR THE YEAR.
PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER THIS YEAR FOR 2010-2011 PERMITS
THANK-YOU."
That is funny I just went in through the main page and when you click on the permit link it does give you that message. If you go to the store you can buy it. Here is a better link that takes you right to it. American Sand Association :: All Store Items :: 2010-2011 Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area Season Permit (CLON)

Dave not sure if you can buy week passes online. I know that they prepunch it for the week that will be used. If you plan on going to the ISDRA more than 3 times in a season it is worth buying the season pass. Also buying ahead of time is quite a bit cheaper than buying at the dunes. A season pass at the dunes costs 120. A week pass is 40 at the dunes, but from a local shop that sells them it is 25. I you go to Gordons well or ogilby there is a shell gas station at the sidewinder exit 9 or 10 miles east of the dunes that sell passes at the lower prices since it "off site".
