Who here has been to Drummond island? Me the wife and kids are planning a trip next month coming up from northern WI. Bringing a Ranger XP 1000 and a RZR XP Pro. Both have winches and 30” tires. Looking for advice on must see/do and what to stay away from.
I drove the Jeep there once. Some gnarly rocks and deep water. Do a Google search on what side of the island has what terrain. I forget which side is easier, but if you have a winch and some people with you I’m sure most of the island will be a blast for ya.
We use to Jeep the island every year then took utility quads there and had fun. Took the rzr one time and never again. To slow of riding for a turbo machine but the island is cool.
Day 1 on the trails. Put on 23.5 miles and was out for over 3 hours including a bunch of stops to take in the scenery. Mostly riding slow in low gear but it was fun. Some fast gravel road sections but was mostly tight and rocky trails that we were on today. Recommend it if that’s what your into, it’s different than our normal trails but fun.
Second day. 60 total miles for both days the last 5 or so was road riding. Some pretty tough obstacles and tight trails. Nothing broke, no one hurt, no need for a winch. Went during the week and didn’t see many others out there. WIll definitely do again.
