Hey, all. I wanted to throw some pics on here to show you what I did for creating a platform for my dog. He loves coming along for rides, so we wanted to come up with something that we could easily swap out for him. He's 75 lbs, so I also needed to make something that was large enough for him. Removing the passenger rear seat, I simply used a piece of 3/4" plywood that measures 14" x 24" and put a 2x4 under the front, and a board that measures 2.25" thick in the back. Perfect fit! It doesn't slide back-and-forth or side-to-side at all. It fits/cradles right over the hump that's there, so it holds it in place. Then I threw in a dog crate bed that measures 24" x 36" that perfectly fills the rest of the area, to prevent his paws from slipping into any of the gaps. He loves it!

Obviously we don't do major off-roading with him in the back, but for when we are just taking a scenic cruise, it's perfect.

I hope this helps anyone looking for ideas for their dogs!
