Though my bench isn't right up against the intake....I can't think that it isn't causing at least a little struggle for the motor to breath.

I don't suppose anyone has done any testing specifically on bench vs. buckets have they?

Any/all input appreciated...

I had problems with the material being sucked up against it and choking the motor out. I made two brakets to push against the seat, so air could still flow. I'll put picks up after work.

Actually, I read a while back where one member believed that the bench substantially improved performance.

He noticed it the morning after a chili cook-off at camp. It seem that the copious amounts of methane gas produced as a consequence of the evenings activities were captured by the bench seat and funneled directly into the intake. It was sort of like a home grown nitrous injection! :scared2:

well, you did say "any/all input appreciated. :rofl3:

You can snorkel the intake to route it above the bench seat....it'll kinda kill two birds with one stone. Raise the intake for high water and eliminate any potential restrictions caused by the seat.

We've got bench seats in a few of the RZR's around here and haven't seen any performance loss at all. Now if you had a bench with a loose fitting cover, you may suffer if some were to block the intake, but most seats out there are manufactured very well and this is not something to worry about.

I have the dirty dawg intake, with a twisted stitch bench seat. Back of the seat is loose. I believe there is a thread where another member had the same issue, with the same seat, here's the link he had to make something to hold the material away also!

Not the best pics, but you can get the idea. Bought some 1/4x2" aluminum and bent them and screwed them to the dirty dawg metal plate.
