Are you disappointed with the models Polaris has released??? Just yes or no.

I voted yes... Now don't get me wrong I do like what they did and I love the black RZR 4 but... I was expecting alot more from them. I mean c'mon at least put the 850 cc engine you already have in the atv's into the rzr and make it HO for the RZR -S
Alot stronger frame and a-arms, or at least stock a-arm guards.
Hey here's an idea how about a glove box rebate / recall sort of thing for all the older model rzr's. I think everyone deserves a frigging glove box after spending $15,000.00. LOL... C'mon give me a glove box!

I voted no because I would have shot myself for buying a 2010 RZR s when I could've waited a couple of months and got a better machine. I did that with the 08 z400 then in 09 they came out with fuel injection and yes I want a darn glove box I'm sending polaris my request for a free one right now:rofl3:

Yes I am, the blue rzr4 was really limited and know you have to buy it with power steering, I dont want to spend the extra 800 bucks, hooray for the glove box, but it doesnt have the nice latch w/lock like the accessory one WTF?, Really like the new rack on the 50" rzr, but why not put it on the s and the 4?

Hey you got a '10..you didn't loose the 2..:rofl3:

BTW...wonder what is up with the 2011 std being rated at 39 KW...and the S and S4 at 38 :shhh: If that is accurate the 2010 S and 4 is up 4 hp over the 2011 S...and 2.7 over the 2011 STD

No for me..I gambled and bought a 2010 RZR4 late in the year and was concerned about the '11s killing it's value or making wish I would have waited for more power..today I feel great about my decesion not to wait. Now all I have to do is get this urge to turbo it out of my mind lol.

The new line-up is Way-Good....If it would have lived up to all the Hype...Our current RZR would be obsolete and be worth Way-Less...So this is a way-good thing for all of us:) Not only do our current RZR hold there value, but we also saved a ton,:) by not having to get new one....Thank You Polaris...

I'm with you! I think they did us a favor. Heck, just do some motor work and you should not be far from the Commander anyway. If you go turbo you will have more than the Commander, plus the S already handles better. But that is from my perspective back east.

I gotta think since this is a relatively new 'utv' industry. And my guess Polaris has been sued a few times over injuries, like Yamaha (roll over class action suit) that they're going to be reluctant to bring some GIANT horsepower machine to the general public. Seeing the UTube video's out there of the STUPID stunts that are not pulled off well, looking like there's some pretty serious injury. People that know what their doing will build (and hopfully well) a high horsepower RZR. I personally don't need a high horsepower machine, I've had them in the past. I've paid the price in both dollars and injury...

Seeing some of the comments on the Commander... It NEEDS that much power, cause it's more TRUCK than UTV...

I don't buy that as a good excuse for not putting more power in the RZR...the 850 Sportsman has 70 HP and runs well over 70 mph...and let me tell you it can hurt you quick if you act stupid. It will stand striaght up on the back bumper with no body english..and sling you right off if you don't know what you are doing and get agressive with your thumb. Not quite as healthy as a 800 Outty or Renegade..but it could be a killer in the wrong hands..
Personally I think a 70hp rzr would be safer.
Now I can buy maybe there are some regulations that we aren't all aware of that might be making it tough for Polaris to up the power much while keeping the RZR at it's current size demensions..

We'll see how the Commander performs this season on the dunes and that will determine how it's received here.

I'm certain Polaris will release a new more powerful model this winter about the time the Commander takes get any traction with buyers.

Surprised Polaris didn't re-design the Rzr air filter.

We'll wait and see.

They have been testing a significantly Improved SxS around the Lake Havasu / Parker area and that is a fact.

The fact that a bigger motor unit did not come out now is a FAIL for Polaris. They knew someone at some time would gun for them. They should have had something ready to put out instantly to take the media attention off the yellow jeep. When I look at this lineup the only thing that comes to mind are the things the RZR lost. Heck I think this made the value of my 09 S go up! Sure, something MAY come out mid year but that is just plain dropping the ball.

i just hope its a lesson to all that thought polaris would come out with some extraordinary "answer" to can-am. I said from the start it wasn't going to happen. Can't trust forum rumors guys. It takes time to develop something entirely new and its a huge cost to retool for a big model change. The money obviously isn't there yet. It will be, just not yet.

Lmao you guys are funny. Answer to the commander? How many commanders are on the trails now and in the dunes right now? Who says the RZR needs more power to hang with a commander.. Its freaking 500# heavier then a RZR. I'm sure it will probably be a little faster on the straight aways.. But I just don't see that hopped up Rhino out performing a RZR on the trails. Most people are happy with the RZRs power. Polaris is worried about most people. I would like a little more power myself. But I will get it out of my current RZR waste of money trying to sell yours then buy a new one. Its cheaper just to improve what you have.
Just cause the commander has a bigger motor doesn't mean it will be an RZR killer. If it turns out it handles just as good and has more power then I'm sure polaris will respond. But really the guys that have drove both say it has power but not so much sporty handling.

Great example and exactly what I was thinking. I remember hearing all the hype of the arctic cat 1000 before it came out and was the biggest craze. After real world testing people realized that they arent a sport UTV and it is more of a work vehicle that has a big engine. I cant say that is the way Can Am will feel but It wont be as sporty as the Rzr and thats for sure. I will take my weber Rzr over a Can Am with a turbo(not that it has been done yet) any day! except if I was just planning on drag racing up and down the street in a straight line.

I voted NO, not into more power, etc. and own a 2010 which I love! Was afraid the 2011 would kill my resale if major changes, after looking at the NEW front end and no real major change I went out and gave mine a BIG HUG!!!

#30 ·
I'm not disappointed because it doesn't change anything for me. I'm more than happy with my 09, so I couldn't care less what they do with the new models. Yes, the speculation and rumors were fun, but in the end...it changes nothing for me.

#31 ·
The front end looks like an alien on the new rzr's
I have a buddy buying a can-am and i will still smoke him in the rzr-s with the skills son!!!!!!!!!!!

The comander needs to hit Jenny Craig up with it's big fat ass!!!!

I'm disappointed that they didn't fix the airbox issue, and maybe look into better springs. These were the two significant changes I made and seem to be popular changes for many others. I haven't seen much forum chatter about needing more radiator air, yet thats was what PoPo decided to address? And ofcourse the glove box! Oh well, it's still the funnest toy I have and no regrets buying my '09 'S'.

#35 ·
Have you seen how many people have added front grills to their hoods? Same goes for a Glove box. I still have my stock 09 air box and have had zero problems with it. A lot of the problems seem to be with the conections not really the box and filter it self.

#40 ·
Disappointed? Hell no! I've got three years and more money than I should have in my 08, but I'm happy with it! Wish I had a "S" model sometimes but I don't think it has kept me from enjoying a single moment riding. Not like I was gonna be upgrading this year no matter what they come out with.
Why don't some of you guys just take a deep breath and think about.......
When your riding next...
Where your riding next....
Did you enjoy the last ride....

See life is good, it is what you make it.

Yeah Ryan, I agree that Black 4 looks sharp! :shhh: All you need are them four pcs. of plastic! You need it to match your seats.
