Different temperatures on each cylinder?

I was using my temperature gun (the small hand held laser type) and got a reading from the side of the cylinders. My front one was running 180f and the rear was 150f. I check my buddies RZR and his was 198f and 197f, both almost the same. The same exact spot was tested, I aimed the laser pointer on the little circular hole on each cylinder.

Now I am wondering if I have a fuel injector problem?
Any ideas?

This is just a thought....I work in the heating industry and use the hand held infrared temp. sensors with the laser quite a bit. You may want to check the hole that you are pointing at and see if there is anything in there such as sand. Different materials will cause the meter to read differently even though the underlying temp. may be the same (You'll get a different reading on a steel pipe than you will a copper or pvc pipe even if they all have 180 degree water flowing through them). Also, some of the lower cost meters cover a broad span if you are more than a foot away. Try getting the meter as close to the area as you can. These are just things you can try before digging into it for a mechanical answer.
Thanks for the info. I was using the hole reference so people would know the general area I am talking about. I also measured the temps at different locations with the same variance. I held the temp gun the same exact distance every time. Mine is a Raytech, I don't know if they are very good, it was $80 a couple years ago.

Maybe his thermostat was closed and yours was open? if coolant is flowing in one and not the other that could make a difference...
I'm positive they were both open, we just got back from riding at the sand dunes for a couple hours.
I am not really concerened about the actual temperatures. I am concerned about mine reading different on my two cylinders, and his being the same temps. I don't know if something is wrong with mine.
