We were planning on waiting another year before replacing our machine however I may have come across a good deal so I need some input.

I am looking at the RZR Trail 900 Premium. It has an MSRP of $18,200. Right now I see 2023 models listed for $17,200 due to a $1000 Polaris rebate.

I have found several 2022 models with an additional $1000-$2000 off. Depending on the dealer this puts them between $15,000 and $16,000.

We are currently traveling and found a new 2022 listed online from a dealer for $14,400 and I am really thinking about jumping on it.

I have not bought a new machine from a dealer for a long time. What kind of "fees" are they going to try and tack on, and while everything is negotiable, which ones should I expect to pay and which ones should I never pay?

To clarify on "fees" I am talking about the ones even Polaris mentions on their site. Destination fees, set up fess, etc. I am not talking about specific "dealer" added fees.

If the "Great Price" is from a Ride Now dealership, run don't walk away. They want you to get in the door and then they will start with their added fees. I have been involved with the Ride Now scam and had two friends call them on the phone and get out the door prices from them and then made the drive to buy the machine only to have them come home empty because when they reached the dealership and starting the buying process all of the sudden there was another $3,000 in "Fees" added. Both were cash buyers and as they were leaving the salesman could not understand why they were not jumping on the good deal they were presented with. In my case I would not pay the $500 inspection fee for looking at a used machine that had 123 miles on it. They had it in the showroom and it looked brand new. The gentleman that traded it in was extremely anal about maintaining his machine. I told them I would buy it, but without the $500 fee. that pretty much ended the conversation. I ask to speak to the sales manager and was told he was not available and that was the price, take it or leave it. I left it.

WOW! Talk about deceptive advertising. Over $4000 in "fees" over the listed price. That is over 25%. How or why do people even consider buying stuff like this?

This is a dealer that will not be getting my money and will get a "stay away" from if anyone asks. If I am going to pay $20,000 for this vehicle it is one who advertise a "real" list price with "normal" fees, not jacked up fees with low listed price.

Lol, it is not a cheap hobby to be in. It's still cheaper then being married. I always say.
No, but that is not even inline with reasonable pricing.

I called 2 other dealers. Both quoted $785 + $400 fuel surge charge from Polaris for freight and $300 set up. That is only $1485 vs over $4000.

Ride now is not even on the same planet.

All my local dealers try and say polaris adds the $2500 to $3k in freight fees and you have to pay them anywhere you go, ultimately no matter where you go they are gonna get their money one way or another, find the best deal you can afford and run with it. All my local dealers are knocking $5k off right now on 2023 models.

Shop around there is good and bad dealerships out their. Ask on here for good dealerships in your area or some times guys go for a drive to save money. If you take time and shop around you can save money. Cash always works. I live in Canada I once shopped around for 2 months the most expensive dealer was the closet dealer too me. After 5 weeks later they called me back and ended up coming down by $3200. Called 2 other dealers to see if they would match or do better and one did. I ended up saving $3600 plus 15% of accessories for 6 months. It just took time.

I know I am not comparing same to same, but that is just another good reason for me to look used. There are lots of 2020+ models out the with 500-1000 miles that are selling for less than MSRP. Let someone else take the huge hit.

I typically do similar. That is how I buy a lot of my stuff.

Our machine is just getting worn with the amount of miles we put on. I have been keeping an eye out for "deals" while we travel. This one popped up because we are currently close enough that it would make sense to pick it up, if the price was as advertised.

Right now I can buy a 2023 model in the color I want, at full price for less money with the non-inflated fees at home.

Will do. We are not quite in need of a new machine yet. However for the right deal the time is right.
