Couple Newbie questions

Not sure, but I believe what you are experiencing with the lack of difference in throttle is just plain lack of power. Mine is the same way. Disappointing for speed freaks like you and me, but that's what you get with a 1200+lb 75hp automatic-clutch off-road machine. With the positive feedback on here on the new 900 I was expecting more myself. Better low end than the old 800, but once you get rolling they're painfully similar.

I have a White Lightning S and I've never heard my AWD make a noise. You can flip the switch as much as you like, nothing. Slow, fast, whatever. I'm no expert, but I'd take it back to the dealer to get your complaint on record at a minimum. Like you said- if you're not losing traction it shouldn't be working, thus no reason for noise.
