Couldn’t pass it up... too good of a deal

As many of you know, my first UTV was a Commander. 3 months and 13K dollars later in mods, I’ve decided that though I love the Commander, I can’t deal with the width for the type of riding I do.

I live in NC and 99% of my riding is woods and tight trails. Sometimes driving the Commander through a tight trail is like watching a bull run through a china shop.

I’ve been looking for a little while and found one this last week. Today I called the dealer and it got sold on me yesterday.

So today I found this... It was a repossession and though I haven’t seen it, a good friend went and checked it out for me.

It’s a 2011 with less than 12 hours on it. It has 247 miles on it. I haven’t checked out what brand lift is on it but I think it’s a racer tech lift. The tires will have to go. I want a set of trail tires like Grim Reapers but the ones on here will have to definitely go.

The hood looks a little scuffed. Supposedly the sides are perfect. It has a roof and half windshield on it.

So tomorrow I’m getting up early and driving 3 hours to pick it up.

The best part??

9K OTD.

seems a bit high. Not bad, but def not a bargain. A new one OTD with stock tires (u said u didnt like those anyways) wouldnt be but 11ish. and thats with a new warranty and the fact of knowing you are the only one to own it. Not to rain on your parade, but i would think 8k would be a better deal. I would try and negotiate when you got there....just dont want ya overpaying!

Matt,

I’m not sure where you are getting your numbers for but you can hardly find an ’08 for 8K.

The other problem is, by the time you pay sales tax, setup, destination fee, blah, blah, blah, you’d be lucky to get out the door for under 12K.

I think 9 grand out the door is a great deal. By the time you add the necc evils, the selling price of this is more like 8300’ish.

I got 10 bucks that says you can’t find an ’11 under 9K.

Here’s a few samples...

That’s a normal price... list on it is only 10,299... the other 700 dollars was your setup and stuff.

I’m cool with saving 2K for 12 hours, a lift kit and tires.

And I didn’t take it any other way... tis cool Matt.

Thanks,

question now mark????? how are you going to post on both sites...you could go say stuff about the comander on here then go say stuff about the rzr over their and if your good enought at it you can argure with your self....lol nice ride and good price.

Hey, I think that is a argument even I can win... now where are those Cowmander owners.... LOL.

Good Luck with the deal Mark
Johnny,

Thanks... guess I’ll be spending more money with you soon. Damn, this is going to get expensive.

how much for the tires that are on it? what size are they?
Hey Clemson, not sure exactly, I know they’re like 27’s. As far as selling them, I’m not sure... I may just trade them for some other tires.

I’ll let you know when I pick them up.

I’m hoping. I know Matt said he thought it was too much but for the life of me, the only thing I could buy in the 8K range was an ’08.

And even at that, most were 8500 with a few mods. I thought 9K was a killer deal.

Sweet find..MUCH better for NC trails... Reminds me of the days of driving ATVs all over Fort Bragg... Nothing like that "Oh chit" face when you run into an Artillery Battery Implaced in the woods:D So I can see your need for something thinner!

I see no commander haters round here? :)

Congratulatons Mark. You did get a good deal. Sports Cycles in Rockingham has the best prices in NC and they quoted me $11097.00 otd on a new, bone stock 2011. $2100.00 is a bunch of money.

I think you got a hell of a deal on it. Can you let me know the size of the tires when you pick it up? I have a set of 28 outlaws and not sure if I want to run them. I am interested to know the size of those since I like the look.

9k!! Hell yes.. Join the fun...

Location means a lot when it comes to pricing. I live in the Shenadoah valley of Virginia and used rzr's are hard to come buy. I found a used 09 with only 60 miles and used by a senior gentlemen. He kept all paperwork and stuff. It is a camo and has a full cab with windshield. He also put rzrs fender flares and the small lock and ride box in the back. I gladly paid 8500 for this vehicle. Can't wait until the trails open up and HM on Memorial day weekend.

i think thats a good deal. good luck with it, have fun!

Its a pretty good deal. Sure you can get a new one for 10,500-11k, But people want as much for their used one as new ones most of the time.. I've been keeping an eye out for one my self and for a low hour newer RZR 8500-9k is about as good as you see.

Well, picked it up today...

Made a huge mistake... I took my motorcycle trailer instead of my 4 wheeler trailer (thinking the lighter aluminum would be better... big mistake. The position the rzr sat on the trailer made it sway at anything over 60mph)

Everything is great on it but I’m definitely getting rid of the tires. For those that wanted to know what size they are, I’ll post tomorrow. I got home, dropped it off and had to help a friend move.

I’m also going to have to find a set of stock flares. It has the S flares on it and obviously I bought it to be narrow, not making it wider. Does anyone know if the 2011 flares only fit the 2011’s?

Thanks,

Mark

I know this isnt your atv trailer but the motor is behind the seat on the rzr...if you backed it on that trailer you might have had less sway. I know on short trailers the engine on the rzr has to be sitting passed the trailer axles to keep weight on the tongue. I went with a 12' trailer because of this....as for the flares...I have a 2011 standard possibly looking to swap for S flares...let me know. Frank D
