I am looking at using a Yeti tundra 35 on my 1k. I still need some sort of storage options for gear. I was wondering if any of y'all were running the tundra 35 and what storage boxes you had. Pics would be great!!

I run a yeti 35 and an 8 gallon rubbermaid action packer. Works perfect. I can also stack a smaller cooler on top of the action packer if i need to. The actionpacker stays dry. I keep a small socket set, factory tools, pliers, screwdrivers, zip ties, electric tape, couple rags, gloves, extra coozies and lighters, phone charger, winch control, shackle, the top rack from the cooler, and still have room for more things. Its a snug fit but the top can be accessed with everything in place. I wouldnt go any other way.

Here is a link to what I got... all I had to do was trim the part that protrudes out the side of the box. Its a super tough box, I made some of the DIY lock and ride eye bolt tie downs with turnbuckles to secure to bed and mounted a piece of angle to hold it forward then for the ice chest I made a box out of angle with 2 ears to hook the tie down on either side and bolted it to the existing bed bolts. the whole setup prob cost me a little over $100.
I hold quite a bit of stuff in the box (tool bag, small 12v compressor, 2 belts, tow strap, brake cleaner, rags)... the Yeti should fit where I Have my Ice chest I just couldn't justify the expense of the yeti when the cooler that I have keeps drinks plenty cold for a couple days at a time.

Yes it is. Just tight enough nothing slides but everything is accessible

Doubt it. It's tight with the 35 and action packer

That can estimate is with 1/2 ice 1/2 cans. I packed 30 cans in my 35 with ice. Plus Jell-O shots. The 35 is a perfect fit. It leaves you a little room to tie it down.

Oh no dough the 35 will work and its a good setup with the action packed. I bought the 50 over the 35 simple to have the same amount of beers as 35 with snacks stacked on top. I like to do long trail rides in my jeep so I was just trying to kill two beers with one cooler. But if I have to buy a 35 no biggy, I will post my findings when I get her and try. Will also post what it takes to get it to fit even if its not worth it.:ride:
