I recently got a 2017 RTE. wondering about putting 32" tires on it. What clutch work should be done for that? Is it something I can do myself of should I send it off to someone? I have done clutch work on CVT's before on 4 wheelers. Just trying to figure out what needs to be done. Also, if I go to 32"s does anyone change their wheel size size or stay with 14": wheels?

I didn’t change my clutch setup when I ran 32s and it handled it just fine. I just ran a hunterworks thick belt. I’m on 35s now and I did do a clutch kit for them. Also I’m running 14s with no issues, they’re not factory wheels though but offset is pretty much the same as factory.

@Rhino1972 - I have a 2019 TRE and running 32 on the stock beadlocks-and no clutching needed- I did however run a steeper helix in the secondary to assist in throttle acceleration.- Really helps the low wend and I also had it made with a EBS notch to help with engine braking.

One thing for sure is to get rid if the secondary BOSSS clutch you have in there- and upgrade to the team tied conversion. Its so much a better design and you have better performance and belt life out of it...

Gears are the best way to increase drivability when increasing tire size over stock. Clutch kits work also, just not as effective.
I agree 100% with you but on a TRE the gearing is reduced enough stock that 32s aren’t an issue. Especially low since it can’t be reduced anymore, high and reverse are all you benefit from.

Tre is only about 12% away from the ranger/ace setup so it’s solid for 32’s as it is.
