With the amount I'm going to do I doubt it will make a difference. But I see where your coming from, and thank you for the heads up.

I know Tuf covered this..but as little 3 grams (1g per arm) makes a huge difference in the way a set up performs....a little bit of weight has a much larger effect than most realize.
Don't grind on the weights unless you have a good scale to weigh them with and get the weights exactly the same. Even then I wouldn't suggest it as anything but a last resort. It isn't just a performance issue..but also a safety issue..you don't want an unbalanced clutch.

Yes made a line with a marker to keep things in order. Will check primary tomorrow for ease of rolling. Let me ask this. When engine is cold does it rev faster to warm up? Maybe thats the problem. Do you guys think it has anything to do with the team industries secondary vs being the stock one?

No, on the STM Clutches the secondary spins fast in neutral and park too...

Call Dale and ask him about his clutch, if he doesn't answer leave a message as Dale calls back over the weekend...

geez now you guys got me nervous! i took a small file and just gave a few passes on the spots where it was contacting (on the clutch not the weights) works just fine now. but i dont want this thing blowing up on me. the amount i filed was so slight im hoping it wont make a difference with the balancing.

So what could happen if I did too much. I didn't think of it at the time but I took a file to the clutch weight holding pins to get them smooth again. Didn't even think about it affecting the balance. I just ordered three new holding pins or bolts whatever you want to call them. None of you have ever dropped or nicked you clutch in anyway and still used them? im just looking for peace of mind here

Would I see any vibration with it spinning if it was off balance? Also what would I look for to see if the clutch is wearing out?

Doesn't sound like you took off enough the to hurt anything. For some reason when I read your post my brain inserted "grind" where you wrote "filiing" lol. Maybe because I know some guys do grind their weights to dial their set ups in. And they have no problems doing that...but they weight/balance everything.
I wasn't trying to scare you...but balance is something to have in mind anytime you are dealing with clutches IMO. A little light filing like it sounds like you did isn't likely to hurt anything.
