Clutch options?

At 1400 miles my primary clutch is toast!

What are the best options out there? 70% of my riding is at Sand Hollow, sand dunes, rock crawling, fast desert trails, the rest is high altitude 7000+ trails in the mountains. The only mods are a tune and an exhaust.

I want the most reliable setup, not so much concerned about the fastest or most power.

Should I just get a new stock clutch and put a kit in it? Get a billet clutch? I just don't want to be stranded with my family in the RZR 50 miles into the desert.

My opinion is get another OEM, there is no proof the aftermarket billet ones last any longer, if they were that great I promise Hunterworks would be selling them.

We have them in stock and we have clutch kits

Feel free to call me today to figure out what best suits you.

Just a FYI, you can't run the same set up during and rock crawling and it be great in both places

Just curious about this clutch stuff as I just picked up a '17 XP4 1000 and IMO the clutch sounds kinda loud but with this being my first RZR I'm not really sure maybe this is normal. Either way I read there seems to be a lot of issues with these clutches or is this a situation where the few are just really loud about it?

Is it normal for them to make more noise as load increases for example climbing a steep hill, this noise is not noticed from just mashing the throttle on flat ground though. Also when coming down hills and you're "free wheeling" the clutch is loud but it's a different noise than when under load.
Also, what do these round pucks do vs the square?

That makes sense looks like I'm going to need to order those rollers at the very least but really I'd love to be able to get the clutch setup so that it engages earlier and at lower RPMs for the slower trails and such. Really don't want to drop another $600 though right away after just buying this RZR..

I would stay with the stock primary ...I had to replace my whole clutch on a 2016 XP 1 k after I did a stupid water crossing while the clutch was super hot my fault ...cracked and destroyed the primary , secondary and cover . I then bought the whole Boondocker Big Boss clutch Kit and 3000 dollars later and about 500 miles later I had nothing but problems ...I wont bash Boondocker ...but I would never buy anything from them again and I would NOT recommend them

Max were the problems you had clutch related or service related. If they were clutch related can you tell us what they were. I like my Boondocker clutch but have had inexplicable issues with the secondary unscrewing on me.

I am referring to a deep water crossing enough it came in thru the exhaust outlet ...like I said it was my fault and abusive ...but if you have to do it make sure you give the clutch a few min to cool down running at idle ....I found out the hard way

My problems were clutch related and customer service .. Its a long story but here is the short version ...the secondary splines are aluminum not steel and the steel output shaft from the trans ate all the splines out of the secondary ...well then they said they couldn't get the secondary anymore ..and I waited 3 months to get a adapter they were supposed to make. They admitted it was a bad design and after 3 months they still wanted to charge me $1,100.00

Luckily I found that the secondary is a stock Arctic cat part and I bought a new outer sheeve for 150.00 ...there is a lot more I could say but I wont ever go to them again

HW, trying to order belt and after I click the "no second belt needed" there is now continue to order or add to cart or any other options but pay pal. I am not using pay pal and have ordered from you before.I have no phone signal to call and the email outlook feature doesnt work for me either. Sorry to address this in ops thread. Thanks,JC
