Clicking when starting & cluster blinks... sometimes starts

I have a 2012 RZR XP with no engine mods and very low hours. We just drove it this last weekend and all was fine, however, today when I went to start it to clean it, it clicks and the gauge cluster blinks.... sometimes it starts and sometimes not. Depending on how long I hold down the key, it will even show the check engine light... but I cant get any codes out of it... maybe I'm doing it wrong though (30 sec off, on, off, on, off, on).

I HAVE SEARCHED ON the forum for others with this problem.... and what I've found is one or two KIND OF similiar issues.... one guy had an ideler bolt back off and cracked his case before he could catch it... and the other guy had to buy a new starter. Am I on the right track here?

Here is a video of the problem. First time it clicks a bit and then starts, second time it almost started right as I let off, third / fourth time it just sat there and clicked.

Any help is much appreciated! Thanks guys

I had a very similar problem with mine after washing it. I messed around with the relays under the dash for quite awhile. One nice thing is they all interchange for trouble shooting. So maybe try switching them around and see what happens. It didn't seem to help me much and my gauge was showing a low-9.3 sometimes. So after reading the repair manual trouble shoot problems and looking over all of the wiring schematics I was at a los until I checked the 3 fuse holder that is mounted to the frame rail underneath/behind the driver seat.

Mine only had 2 fuses in it cause I don't have power steering but I found a bunch of mud packed in the Chassis fuse inside there. took it out ut in a new fuse put all of the relays back in and it fired right up like it should.

Thanks Terso, I wondered about the fuses as well but I could not find the fuse box and didnt have time to look through the owners manual yet. I'll give that a go tomorrow and report back. Thanks again

Let me start off by saying this: DAMN YOU ALL ARE GOOD. And if any of you are ever passing through Nashville, TN... I owe each of you a few beers.

A couple months ago I bought two terminal blocks in order to clean up the wiring going to the batteries... long story short, the terminal blocks have raw metal in the bottom and rusted. I cleaned up the rust, slathered them with dielectric grease and then tried to start it again.... but it still wouldn't start. I then checked my battery voltage and it was at 10.4 from trying to start it for 2 days. Trickle charged it over night and BAAM, I'm in business.

I did check box fuse boxes as well... they are nice and dry and mud free. I looked at, but didn't remove the ground to the frame.... it does look muddy though. That was going to be my next step if this didn't work. I still may remove it, clean it up, and put down some grease if I get some more time.

Thanks again for everyones help.... truly appreciated!
