I use Bugslide. Found it a couple of years ago for my Harley's windshield and love it. Works great.

Try the Honda version I mentioned in post #6. It works better than Plexus in my experience...and it is noticeably less expensive.

Pledge (lemon) cleans the window up, reduces the scratches to invisible and is inexpensive. I use it before most rides. A can lasts about a year and smells good too. I carry a can in the overhead bag as well as a small clean cloth towel in a ziplock to cleanup the window on rides if it gets too covered.

I agree Lemon Pledge is the best. It will also work on your airplane windshield or the eisenglass on your boat.....and yeah it does smell nice

I haven't tried the wipes, but they sound like a good idea......use 'em and throw 'em away as they will have some dust/grit imbedded in them anyway. Note that I like to wipe down the bumper or roll bar or dash with the Pledge saturated towel after the window is polished. It does a nice job on them.

I just installed manual wipers, plus a washer nozzle that shoots a fan-shaped spray onto the windshield, high up. So I figure I'll use that on the trail, and after washing at home I'll hit the windshield with the Pledge.

Except I also ordered a bottle of Rain-X for plastics, and now I can't decide which would be a better idea: Rain-X to hopefully cause the water to bead up and roll down the windshield better, or Pledge to hide the mini-scratches.

When the windshield is actually clean, I don't seem to have much or a problem with scratches, so I will probably start with the Rain-X and see how well that works, and keep the Pledge wipes as a backup.

I don't know about preventing dust buildup, but the Pro Honda Plastic Cleaner and Polish is more high tech than Pledge and almost $7 a can cheaper than Plexus. With UV protectors and anti-static capability, it does a better job of protecting whatever you apply it to, especially when using a microfiber cloth.

I have used it on my BMW GS windshield and helmet, making bug removal after the ride much easier. Its the only product I will use on my aircraft windshield after going the Meguiars and Pledge route.

I still can't believe my last spray can from the dealer for such a good product was $5.95. They sell the good performing Plexus, too, but why pay twice as much?

You can buy "mechanic's handcleaner" too, but Dawn dishsoap from the dollar store and a small scrub brush works just as well or better. Put the money and effort into gas and riding.
