I just got a new set of tires and rims. Went from 25" to 26" tires. I also installed a new HD EPI belt about 2 weeks before the tires were put on. I had put on around 300Kms on new belt before I put new tires on. Now after a 30km ride on new tires something seems to be slipping. I did climb some hard hills but in low range, and all was good. Shifted into hi and could not get going and it sounded like the slipping sound was from behind me not below me. Put into low again to try and move a little and all was good with no squeel. Stopped and put it into hi again and it took off fine. This happened 5 times this weekend. I followed belt install to the letter. Cant find any other posts with similar problem. Is there anything in the transmission that can be slipping?

So they say...it just seems this topic comes up more often than anyone using a stock belt. I would say try a new stock belt....plus then you'll have a spare! I don't have first hand experience with this EPI belt, but someone will chime in soon.

Bump....

Before I order another new belt.... I have ordered a new clutch for 3000-6000 elevation for 26" tires. Is there anything else I can look for that could be the issue. The new belt I have on has hardly and miles on it. Will I be able to see obvious damage to belt when I look at it.

different belts work better for different people with different modifications.
the rubber compounds are different, and what works good on a turbo RZR might not work good for a stock RZR.

I would call EPI and see what they say. They might have a different belt that they can reccomend for your application.
