I am replacing my A-ARMS and my rzr only has 200 Miles on it. The ball joints are like new but the dealer service manual has in HUGE bold print to "Not Re-use" a ball joint after it is installed. Has anyone re-used the ball joints and do I really need to get new ones ?

I don't see why not if you can remove it without doing any damage to it. It is pressed in there pretty good. I would try before buying new ones. Remove the snap ring, remove the rubber boot so you don't rip it. Find a socket that fits on the outter edge and give it a few whacks or stick it on a press and see if you can get it out without ruining it. You can always buy one if you do.

i never tried to reuse a ball joint, but did try to remove one that I broke from an a-arm to reuse the a-arm and it was a M'fr. After I removed the snap ring and boot and got the rigt size socket I couldnt get it out. Then tried an air hammer and blew right through it. I ended up cutting it wil a sawzall and air hammering it out. Hopefully ou have better luck and can reuse them, I serisously f'ed it up trying but mine was already broke so I didnt try too hard before bringing out the fun tools to cut it out. If you have a ball joint press tool it will make your life much easier.

i've done several.. you can push them out and in with a vise and a piece of tubing pretty easy.. you can also drive them out and in with a deadblow hammer. just make sure they go in straight.. and make sure the snap ring seats in there good and you'll be fine.

Hey Crazywatson, can you tell me more info on the ball joints having some play in them and still being fine. Mine seem lose in the machine but seem ok when I pulled them out. It almost looks like they are moving in the clamped end (the bolted end) I even put an impact gun to them. Any body else have this problem?
