if you want it to turn on with the key, there is a keyed power wire under the dash (orange).
if you want it to turn on without the key, I think you have to put in a switch.

I actually "bridged" from the Power connection to the switch connector. This worked but of course it keys the amp powered on the whole time it connected.
I'm going to try and figure out how to run 2 batteries and put in a switch for the stereo.
I would like to be able to run the stereo without the key on so the hour clock doesn't keep ticking.

 

to have the amp come on with the key you just need to connect the remote lead to a switched 12v source. the extra orange lead under the dash works great for this

then just run the primary power to the battery (with an inline fuse of course)

 

You need to add a switch that connects the amp to your battery with an inline fuse if you want to run your stereo with the key off.

 

Run the remote wire through a switch and then through a fuse to a power source i.e. the battery. Make sure you have a good ground close to the amp and run the main power wire straight to the battery. Make sure you have a fuse in the main power wire as close to the battery as possible to prevent nasty things happening if the wire shorts somewhere.

 

I haven't put an amp in my RZR yet. But, when I did my Rhino, I connected the remote wire to an illuminated marine rocker switch. It lights up when the amp is on, that way it reminds me to turn it off. Using the switch setup, I can listen to music without the key on.

I got the stereo hooked up. Sounds pretty good to considering I didn't use high end equipment.

 

i got my sterio installed at a dealer and they jumped off the main power cable to the remote on the amp and guess what that does...KILLS batterie! glad i found this forum, i will be looking for this orange wire tonight.
