Owners manual recommended front tire pressure.

 

How did that break the wheel?

 

Side wall flattens and rim hits rock. Or side wall pinches between rim and rock. Need at least 14 psi to protect rim and side wall.

 

Ah..
I think my tires are rated for 22 psi.

Ran 16 psi all around today (on a borrowed wheel) way better. Car much better ride and handling.

 

I have a complete set of take offs for sale. zero miles.

 

Broke another wheel. This one was fair play though. Had a puncture in rear tire. The pressure went low and the rim hit the ground, bent and cracked. Flat rear tires are not that noticeable. The tire was fixable with a plug. The wheel might have a slow leak. I covered the crack with rubber cement.

 

 

I think maybe you need to better watch where you’re going LOL.

 

Or like my wife says SLOW DOWN!

Glad I'm not the only one to break a wheel. I've got Vision's on the 900 I'm replacing with a 2021 Pro Ultimate and I've broken two. Everyone gives me crap about it. I say they're defective!

 

I'm in Canada, and I ordered a spare for mine in Feb 15 2021. and the expected date to Polaris is June 30 2021.

 

Still haven't got mine yet... January 2021order.

I picked up a used rzr 1000xp wheel from offer up , for the interim.

 

I have broken 4 of them! The one I first posted. A rear tire sidewall puncture, deflated and rim hit a rock. Changed the tire on the trail but apparently did not torque lugs enough. They were a little lose when I checked them at 10 miles. Too late. Next trip all four lug bolts broke. The hub dropped into the wheel destroying it. As part of recovery I put in new lugs but could not seat them in the hub. The lugs spun in the wheel holes ruining them. I have a wheel on order too!

 

Did you use an Air hammer or a big press when seating the lugs ?

Or just try to tighten the lug using lug nut ?

 

The lug holes in the hub were already ruined. Lugs too lose in hub. Was in the field just trying to limp back to the trailer. The new lugs lasted 2 miles and ruined my spare wheel. But got far enough to get to a place accessible to my trailer. Got to use my new winch to load it up. Fortunately I had some blocks and a Jack. And friends to help!

Good to hear that your wheel is on the way. I have been waiting since February. That and the tire rack are all that’s left of the original order. Anyone receive a tire rack lately?
