hi, greeting from mexico....

i always read that there are bigger products in the market for the rzr and UTV in general, bigger tires, bigger wheels, bigger motors, bigger led bars... etc.

but how about a bigger gas tank? i beleive this can be possible in the rzr 4, because in the drivers side rear seat, ther is a bigo hole, with nothing on it.

personally y would buy one of these (if it exist).

i'd rather carry cooler with cold beer instead of kolpin, rotopax tanks in my rear bed.

That's actually pretty difficult with the assembly that's actually in the fuel tank, but there is a solution and I'm sure any Vendor who makes this could do fairly well... Why not measure the existing "extra area" under the RZR and the RZR4 get the dimensions and build a custom fabricated Gas Can? But it would look like a tank, be completely out of the way and once you top it off your good, if you need fuel just pull the seats get your "gas Can" out and top off as much as will fit???? Just a thought..I personally would buy one, especially if it came designed with a battery relocation kit! That battery could easily be mounted in a cage safely up under the dash and the entire drivers side could be used to store fuel... I'm not talking about some crap here..I'm talking about something strong and safe that can handle just as much an impact as the actual fuel tank..It would be a lot safer than carrying fuel in the bed, It would add more weight lower, thus giving you a better lower center of gravity,,, I can think of lots of ways...Maybe I'll Just Fabricate one after my cage and see what you guys think! It's pretty easy for a project!! If any vendors want to take my idea, go for it...I like the idea... 2 times the fuel, ZERO noticeable space used up! (unless you really put a lot of stuff under your seat...)

Cheers, Mike

You could remove that useless storage under the drivers seat and make a 1-2 gallon tank and run a line over to the main tank that you could pump to. Kind of like having an emergency gas reservoir. I know this is the way yamaha outboard motors run their oiling system. My boat has a 2.5 gallon remote tank in a compartment in the hull with an electric oil pump that pumps it from that reservoir to the actual oil tank under the cowling that isn't much more than a quart.

Do it like all the guys I work with. make or buy your extra tank, put a 12v pump on it and when your low pump it over via switch on the dash. Kind of pricey compared to just a bigger tank though.
This is your best option.. And really not more expensive.. Polaris charges 450 something for a new tank and pump.. I would think a custom larger tank would cost atleast that. Wouldn't be that hard to move the battery over and add a decent sized tank and pump. A basic pump just to transfer the fuel is pretty cheap. Tank would just depend on the shape and size.. Probably could find something that would work.

I would think the actual tank itself wouldn't be that expensive, alot of the cost is the pump assy and Polaris' ridiculous mark up on certain parts.
On the 4 there might even be room for a larger tank in the stock tank location, lots of open space under the rear seats..all you would need is a properly designed larger tank and put your stock pump/sending unit in it..all depends on if demand would be high enough to motivate somene to make the larger tank. I know someone who could make one out of alum...not high on my priority list right now...maybe one day.

Transfer tank would work too..
