I'm about ready to pull the trigger on either a Holz stage 3 or a Aerocharger turbo. Mostly trail riding but we have plenty of 1/4 mile staight aways. Need some imho. Thanks

I have the Holz Stage III kit. I much prefer it over a turbo. It will go anywhere I want, even at 12000+ ft elevation.

It pulls fantastic.

My only problem with turbo is that Polaris has an aluminum engine case just like Harleys do. I can remember when turbos started showing up on Harleys....start pushing a guy on a turbo'd Harley and he'd tweak the boost a bit and promptly pull the cylinder studs out of the cases. Real bummer man...

Appreciate the insight guys. I'm leaning towards a Areocharger. Will talk with Collin tommorow and probably order.

My Holz BB is strong and reliable and runs on pump gas. I like that and I also want to do some racing in a series that doesn't allow turbos. If not for the racing, I probably would have gotten a turbo. When I race a turbo that is set at 6psi on a stock motor, I can give them a good run and they only beat me by a little bit. But when their boost is turned up to 11psi, there is just no comparison. They absolutely smoke me. But then you're talking lower compression, race gas, possibly reduced reliability, it's always a trade off.

I ride in the mountains in east Tenn. I have had a stock motor, Aerocharger/stock motor, and now I have a turbo Weber. Holz make some really good parts and if I were going BB that is the route I would go. The Aerocharger made boost plenty quick enough for me and worked really good on the tight trails. My only concern is the stock Poo Poo crank. If I were installing another turbo of any kind on a stock Poo Poo motor I would weld the crank pin.

I would go BB for trails..Turbo is better for full throttle long runs. On most trails your not able to even use the turbo much.. Low speed Torq helps more then anything..
