Hey everyone. I am looking for some guidance on my tie rod as i just realized the other night it was slightly bent. top pic shows the drivers side which looks okay and bottom picture shows the passenger side which is bent. Couple questions here..... is it rideable? i cannot tell with the steering really. obviously will need replaced are there better options out there? How long till it blows out? Thanks!

i have a big ride planned this weekend. how risky to ride one more day on it?

Thanks!!!
This risky:

In the same scenario, I took the "It'll make it one more ride" approach, which lead to about a 7 mile hike for myself, wife, and kid after it broke mid trail... I highly recommend against trying to ride with it like that, you're just asking for trouble.

@SuperATV sells a very well priced HD tie rod kit, and if you call and order this morning, they can probably have it to you in time to ride this weekend.

Not terrible, hardest part is breaking loose the inner tie rod end, might take a little heat to break the loctitie free ( mine did not, but I have heard of some that did ), a pipe wrench is a good tool to get the job done on the inner ends as well, outside of that tho, it's pretty simple.

I bent one a couple rides ago in the morning and couple hours later it broke. I could feel it getting worse and worse every time I turned the wheel. I went with SuperATV tierod kit. It’s priced right and installs easy. Be sure to put red loctite on the inner tierod end where you thread it into the rack. Also when setting your toe have someone hold the steering wheel while you adjust the tierods so the rack doesn’t move.

Yes definitely fix it. It’s easy install. We actually have a install video ready to edit for our YouTube channel, but probably can’t get it edited and uploaded by the time you need it. SuperATV has a how to video on it. Just push down on the front of your rzr and then roll it backward and forward to settle the springs and tires before you set your toe.

Set toe with shocks and tires on? What is this witchcraft you speak of? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Note - I'm just being a smarta**, setting toe with shocks and tires on is perfectly acceptable, but yes, as mentioned, do roll the machine to settle the suspension and verify you're at ride height when setting toe. 1/8" in to 1/8" out is the sweet spot.

Yes it is witchcraft. We do it the way you have pictured. I just know the SuperATV video he may end up watching doesn’t. They just set it on the ground and roll it around. They don’t even push down on it to settle shocks and springs. Trying to steer him watching that video in the best direction he could go from it lol.
