bent frame ??

I clipped a rock out in Moab, knocked the air out of the tire & dinged up the rim pretty good on the right front. The right wheel was about 2" farther back than the left. The upper A arm, bushings, bolt & rod were tweaked so I replaced all those. The lower A arm is fine, but I replaced all the bolts & bushing in it. Everything fit together just fine. Now the wheel is 1" back. I have measured everything I can, there is no indication the frame is bent. NO crimps, dings, dents, anywhere in the frame. the A arm mounts are not bent. So I measured the wheelbase center to center of the wheels. right side, the side I hit, is 81 inches, the left side is 82 inches. Polaris lists the wheelbase as 81 !! it is like the entire front subframe is 1" longer on the left than the right. Could it be twisted 1 inch with no marks anywhere on the frame, or was it just built this way ?

I have the same problem.. Replaced all four A-arms and my wheelbase is still off. It drives fine after adjusting toe.

Cant find any signs of bend/stress/cracks. Put a straight edge all over the subframe. Nothing. Diagonally measured under the frame and subframe, all good. I have no idea where the difference is coming from.

I too am wondering if mine was built like this.

Sorry, no help. But your not alone.

If you look really close you may find the arm tabs are a 1" different on each side where they attach to frame. Have seen it on the 800 not sure on the 900 but possible. If they drive and handle correct would not worry about it. Enjoy them.

The upper clip of the front end's bent at the back a-arm mounts. If you put a straight edge on the upper tubes, you'll see that it's pushed the entire back section of it over.

I'll almost guarantee that one side is farther forward and the other back - you may think the one side, with all the clearance is in the correct position, but it's not. Because it has clearance, it gives the illusion that all is okay on that side.

I was able to fix it on my XP when I did it - required a come-a-long and a bottle jack. The come-a-long was used to pull the forward side back and the jack to push the back side forward. I had to overbend by about 1-1.5" because of spring back.

To find the exact position of the bend do a drop test.

Drive RZR onto some flat clean ground, concrete or smooth tarmac is good. Ensure all the wheels are pumped to the same pressure.
Then at all joining points to the chassis/frame drop a weighted line to the floor and mark the position with chalk. So A Arms to chassis, rear arms to chassis, wheel hubs etc.

Then when you have all the points you want, drive rzr away, then connect the points with lines. You can then work out where the distortion is.

Not sure if you have fixed it yet, I have a 2013 900xp, clipped a tree when kicking it down a steep hill, right front tire rubbing the mud flap,
Left tire 3" from the mud flap, eased back to camp and got down and notice the bolt on the bottom a frame with differant spacing on both sides, right side had come back enough to hit the fram and a small dent, weld cracked on the bottom!

Loaded and took it to a body shoppe on Monday, I left it with there frame guy, he worked three hrs on it but put her back ! He did say the frame is real hard steal!!! Re welded and put a rust prevent on and good as new, I can't tell it ever happened! The great body shop manager said just flip the employee a $100 and it's all cool, I flipped him $250 and he said come back anytime!!! You never know! Lol
