ball joints end scraping inner side of rims

Picture the steering ball joint end(at wheel) where the adjustable rod is(for toe in/out)adjustment. The ball joint end where threaded rod and jamb nut is, is scraping into the rim on both sides. Suspension components appear to be tight. Wheel bearings appear ok. no looseness anywhere on steering and wheels. This occurs in the full lock position - (left turn-left wheel), (right turn-right wheel). On the left side it has almost cut through the rim... This is a 2011 RZR 800- driven only by my wife. Anybody had this problem or no of a cure??
I am at a total loss as to what could have cause this condition or how to fix it..Leewin

Are the tie rod ends bolted to the BOTTOM side of the ears on the bearing carriers?

You are referring to the tie rod ends and as mentioned they need to be on bottom for you to have correct steering geometry, I would assume they are on top if they are scraping the rim. If you keep them on top you will experience bump steer, which describes the phenomenon of your toe in/out changing as the suspension travels to full bump and back to factory droop. Some people never notice but if you pay attention or have someone video you traveling over whoops with the tie rods on top you will see it. :)

If you could possibly take a couple of pics and post em it could show us what is going on also.

If you are saying the wheel is touching the actual jam nut and tie rod end you most likely arent running factory wheels and have the incorrect offset. If you have aftermarket 12" wheels you most likely need to run wheel spacers to resolve this.

Scratch what I said, there is no way the wheel is touching the jam nut and tie rod if its on bottom? it would contact the top of the bolt head before it would ever touch the tie rod, are you sure the tide rod is underneath the spindle/knuckle?

Are the BOLT HEADS (not bolt threads and nut) on the top side of the ears?

threaded rod and jamb nut is scraping into the rim

That would certainly cause a problem! Lol! Glad you got it figured out.

If you need to replace the rear rims because of the deep gouges, you might consider buying front rims.
The same size rims all around will allow you to rotate tires.
