These arms are built for factory bushings but for automotive ball joints with grease fittings and a lifetime warranty.

 

Here is the arm after being tack welded in the jig.

Fully welded ready to be prepped for paint. Once this design is tested I may send to powder coating with the radius arms I made last week.

Dart......they are already installed in the spindles and I am not in the shop now. I will get pics of them tomorrow first thing.

 

Are you not planning to add any cross bracing or gussets to the arms ?

 

Definitely not until I drive with them. They are stronger tubing than factory. If I see them bending easily ill notch a gusset out. I dont want them so strong I loose a frame mount.

These are the ball joints I used for the lower arms. The upper ball joints are from autozone FA1468.

 

Do you have a part # for the uppers. I would love to get some good ball joints on my rig. The factory ones are the biggest piece of junk ever.

These ball joints wont fit your factory A arms. The upper ball joint part number for MY arms is listed in a post above. The lowers are in a picture also listed above.

Exactly. Small weak factory joints without grease fittings are for the birds.

Awesome GFab! Now the next problem to fix is how to keep the bearing carrier itself from wearing out because the single pinch bolt doesn't seem to hold the ball joint well enough...in time and with hard use, the bore of it will wear and no matter how tight you tighten the pinch bolt, the ball joint shaft will slop around in there wallering it out more and more.. Which really screws with the camber

Mine has 4 sleeves over my ball joint pins. I bought my rig used and have no way to know if they are oem or if someone made them. Ill try to get a pic this evening.

 

Sleeve was worn out. Made a replacement sleeve.

 

Ive never seen a sleve in my two rzrs. Maybe the xp has one factory but I dont think so

Im thinking the previous owner let the ball joints get loose in the spindle and had the sleeves made. Better than paying full price for spindles I suppose.

 

I just drilled and tapped the top of my ball joints and added a grease zert. I now grease them every month. Also they are life time warranty..btw I have 3700 miles on my RZR 4..sand rock snow ect...

 

This works for the top ball joint but I doubt a zirc on the bottom would survive
