Great find...I have Summer Brother axle shafts (6"inch extension) and lost my rear inner CV joint. But like you all have found, after market axles are much larger then stock. So trying to find just the replacement CV joint to fit my Summer Brother axle has been a witch hunt. I wonder if this axle would be a fit for my axle? Anyone know what size axle will fit the CV joint? Might have to go pick one up and see.

Ur axle from Summer bros. may have 570 cv's on the rear. I'd call and ask or try to find a 570 cv u could compare it too.

I haven't look into that yet..
Just checked the axle and its .812" dia with 19 splines

Oriely auto parts has this shaft also $73.99 but its not lifetime warranty. the cross referance is for a honda oddesy van I believe

I just ordered one from auto zone.
I got the pol 7023
Auto zone part# 378458
Out the door $152.94
I had a $15 off coupon.
It should be to my house in two days, can't beat that! Especially with a lifetime warranty

why would you want to spend 155 that's a lot super atv has them 100 $ rmatv has them to now I think there like 120 there .
Because they are so readily available, sitting on the shelf if needed. No down time, waiting for parts to ship. And, only 10mins from the house. There are Auto Zones almost everywhere.

The axle is/was a direct replacement. Held up well, what little bit I got to use it, before selling the machine to someone who needed it worse than I did. :ride:

I just installed one on my 2011 S and there is not the same angle of bend at the outer cv as on the factory axle.

It is very close but I put the 900 podium shocks on mine and adjusted my a arms to have the most travel they could till binding and took it back up a tad more. Been working great but I put the new axle in and bolted it all back up and the new axle is bound up. If I take my lower shock bolt out and jack up the a arm till the cv is completely free it is only half a bolt hole at the shock different.

Like I said its close but not as much as the factory.

I got one put in the front two weeks ago and broke it the following weekend. In its defense it was at full droop (which with my 900xp shocks is more than factory) and turned all the way trying to come up a bank and slid back onto the tire still spinning.

I looks as if there was not enough grease in the boot, at lease not where it needed to be. The balls got very hot and created weak spots.

I have now the new warranty axle next to a new oem axle.

The burn spots on the cup are from the manufacturing process. Did they warranty it with no questions asked? Are u currently one? Keep us posted on how they do.
