Im curious too. I wish there was a slick traveling xm tuner!

 

I just mounted my xm tuner on the dash ( car Kit) behind my windshield ran the antenna up on the roof secured with velcro- and ran the Aux in cable up the inside of the roll bar to my overhead SSV system and plugged the male/female together and have xm 100%.. Power is provided through a 12 volt power port I hid under the dash.

 

I have an iPod/mp3 input jack on my Rugged Radio/intercom system, and listen to music through the headsets.

 

How good is the quality of the sound with that set up ? I was toying around with that direction.

 

I have an Blue tooth amp and my audio comes from my phone using Amazon Music. My amp also has power to keep phone charged in Glove box. I run the station when I'm on the road and have a down load of ride tunes.

 

Check out the SSV overhead system. I use Bluetooth connection from my phone.

Rockford Fosgate stage 1 which is just the PMX head unit and two 2 way 6-1/2" speakers in fiberglass enclosures is below the dash. I then mounted sxs audio 5-1/4" enclosures on the dash near the a-pillars and loaded them with Polk 2 way marine speakers. Crystal clear at any volume. Very classy setup that is not in your face or obnoxious IMO.
