Hello so this will be my first post here so i hope this is the correct place. I am currently building my xp1000 engine. Rods, pistons, valve springs, head studs ect. I purchased a set of arp main studs as well but then was told they can cause warping problems with the aluminum cases. Has anyone heard of this would really have to install them and ruin a crank and cases. TIA.

I did a quick search on the site trying to find your answer for you. I found a couple post but nothing conclusive. From what I've ever heard, they're a great upgrade so I have a hard time believing they'll cause warping. I'm sure someone will chime in on this that's knowledgeable on these motors. Wish I could give you more information but I haven't built one of these yet.

Thanks you! i searched alot around here and the only thing i could come up with were head studs nothing for main case half studs. The main studs increase the torque from 35 ish ft lbs on stock bolts to 65 ft lbs with the arp studs.
