I ended up going with the KMS airbox. I got tired of gaskets etc to seal up the airbox. I also went with the Bikeman intake to keep it above the bed, didn't want mud getting thrown all over the filter if I left it hanging off the box. Here are the finished pics.

What did you do with the breather hose from the air intake that goes to oil tank?

I have a ride this weekend, I should know if I feel any power after that ride, i live in town so I just made a couple passes up the road. I am also dialing in my new Dobeck 4 controller.
I was mainly looking for a foolproof airbox, I was tired of messing with the factory box. Here is what I did with the crankcase tube. I am going to make a plate to mount it to, make for a neater install.

Bikeman did sell me just the plate and ducting, I told him I didn't want the K&N, however he didn't send the filter for the crankcase breather, so the one in the picture is one i had laying around, so if you go that route, let them know you just don't want the big filter.

I have a extra set of billet modquad side scoops still in the box if your interested

I like bank2collect's setup. I am on my third rebuild due to dirt getting in the intake. Ride a lot of dunes and some dirt. I dnt need my bed and actually building another cage to delete it. I understand the prefilter is a good idea before the air going into the box. But what if u had a paper filter in the bed and then the k&n and unis inside. Would the paper limit the air but keep it cleaner?

What does the BIkeman tube setup cost? I payed $20 for my aluminum tube off of EBay.

picking one up on Friday. Kelly said that polaris left some meat on the bone with the plentums. (spelled wrong) and the box was good for 4hp. I am getting one for the dirt issue. don't want to suck in any on a new machine. will have to look at routing the plumbing in the bed. good idea.

I guess you could say that but on some "Other" dynos it would produce more like 20 hp so I don't look at it that way. The intake and Power Commander where good for 8 hp and the HotCams added another 4 hp. It put down 72 hp with the upgrades to the rear wheel. Until I open my wallet for a turbo this will have to do.

We did test the SLP exhaust the same one that is on the Jagged X edition and it made a whole .5 hp more. Not worth the money. Still haven't found anyone that makes an exhaust worth the money. It looks and sounds really good but would not recommend it.

The Barker exhaust does really well Sand_Predator, but it's going to cost more than that Jagged X slip on. :pint:

This is a cool idea, but I need my filter up high, I'm looking into snorkeling the bike now because it gets so wet... What worries me now is the stock airbox seal. Tossing around ideas now...

I think this is the perfect set up. Did you try just the KMS first without the BMP? I am wondering if there was a performance loss with the BMP plumbing. One of the replies on here said the plumbing should not exceed like 18-24". I am real leery of the filter under the bed but love the closed KMS box with a filter up higher. I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on their KMS setup and what type of terrain they ride in.
