Saw this on FeeBay (eBay) went to their website. Pretty interesting if it works. The vid in the link is a pretty good watch.
If anyone used or tried this chime in.

KMS RZR XP 900 INTAKE KIT

Not used it, but I can tell you that Kelly knows his $hit. Everything I have done with him makes nice power.

I guess you could say that but on some "Other" dynos it would produce more like 20 hp so I don't look at it that way. The intake and Power Commander where good for 8 hp and the HotCams added another 4 hp. It put down 72 hp with the upgrades to the rear wheel. Until I open my wallet for a turbo this will have to do.

We did test the SLP exhaust the same one that is on the Jagged X edition and it made a whole .5 hp more. Not worth the money. Still haven't found anyone that makes an exhaust worth the money. It looks and sounds really good but would not recommend it.

Yup, Kelly's dyno can be stingy for sure. Mine made 79 rwhp with the Alba stg2 kit as listed in my signature. Kelly does great work both tuning and products.

anyone else have this setup? I like the idea as long as it filters well enough. I like the idea of the k&N with uni over it plus the outerwear, that is how I use to run my old corvair sand rail.

I ride in desert mainly where its real dusty, Ive had great luck with my stock filter but was looking at alternatives.

I ordered one from Kelly. I am sick of the stock leaker air box. When I took my motor apart for some updates, the dirt passing through killed the valves and seats in 1100 miles. I change my filter after every ride. I am going to run a filter up into the bed for those spring time creek crossings. I will use the under bed filter for the dunes and summer/fall mountain rides.
I may take it a step further and put a Donaldson canister type filter inline and plumb it through the stock intake location. I added the SLP extra intake vent and it did feel like it worked good.
I think the KMS system will work good with my motor combo. 11.5:1 pistons, cams, ported head, PC5/Autotune, Motowerks head pipe w/SLP can.
I will keep you posted.

Ya, the KMS intake-box and filter set-up looks to be the final answer to all of the intake/filter problems that the XP guys are having. A little pricey, but well-made and executed. I'm impressed that even with the triple-layer filtering, it's making 6 H/P over stock! Obviously, the flow is much-improved. If I had an XP, I would definitely want to go this route. My two-bits........

Cheers

Cut 7" off the stock hose from the end that attaches to the air box. Turn it around and install it backward so that it angles off the airbox toward the front of the car. Slip the 90 degree fitting in the hose and draw a circle around the 90 where it makes contact with the underside of the bed. Drill a hole in the center of the circle. You now can cut the hole from the top using your drilled hole as the center. Slip on the collar and 5" extension through the bed. Slip on your filter. Secure tubing underneath to frame with large zip tie. Your done.

Thanks for info and pics! I like it !
You are welcome.

Brown Truck showed today with the air box.
Took factory filter box off again. 1 ride since major motor work. Dirt in the intake track again. Had a Airaid filter with DMC gasket. Only used half the DMC as explained on this forum in another thread.

I first installed the KMS below bed filter. Very simple install. Went for a quick run, throttle response was good through out. Seemed to make it run stronger.

I then installed my above bed filter. I took it for a drive. There was a hesitation when letting off and hitting the gas. It also didn't feel like it had as much power with this set up. This intake track is 16" long. As I said before Kelly said no longer than 24".

I like the KMS setup. I don't install my bead panel when I'm at the dunes so the under bed heat is minimal. I will work on the above bed setup and see if I can get it to work a little better for those creek crossings.

Next I am going to try a Donaldson canister filter inline from stock bed intake through Donaldson to KMS box.

Yea putting a filter in the bed is just a deal breaker for me. My whole point in having a rzr is to utilize the bed when I go to the desert. Packing a L&R box, ice chest, 4.5g gas and spare tire leaves no room for one, not to mention that big whole you hack into the plastic.

Any updates on this, I'm very interested in any mod that produces more power and helps keep dust out the engine at the same time .

I have a ride this weekend, I should know if I feel any power after that ride, i live in town so I just made a couple passes up the road. I am also dialing in my new Dobeck 4 controller.
I was mainly looking for a foolproof airbox, I was tired of messing with the factory box. Here is what I did with the crankcase tube. I am going to make a plate to mount it to, make for a neater install.

Bikeman did sell me just the plate and ducting, I told him I didn't want the K&N, however he didn't send the filter for the crankcase breather, so the one in the picture is one i had laying around, so if you go that route, let them know you just don't want the big filter.
