Ok after riding last weekend for about 4 hours straight at night i guess my motor started burning oil and i heard it start ticking. So we went back to camp and checked the oil. It was 3/4 of a qt low. What im wondering is if anyone has put in a low oil sensor to warn you its getting low.

Put in one like on my Honda Gen Set... If it's low on oil it shuts off if it's running or it won't start when it's low on oil...

A 2qt. system down 3/4 of a qt. isn't good for the engine...

Install a Dakota Digital oil pressure gauge. You can monitor the oil pressure at night and you can progra it to flash at a low pressure you select.

After trashing a motor, wouldn't be without it!

Where did you tap into the system at?

Sorry, if this is a bone head question.

Chris, there is no such thing as a bone head question!!

There is a threaded hole, with a plug in it at the front of the motor.

Here's a pic of it with my oil pressure sensor installed. I got the small stainless line from quadovator for my first gauges...I replaced the gauge with a Dakota Digital

Any other questions...ask away!!
