I will be out of 3/16''. I have the pattern on a sheet of cardboard.

I've made a few but honestly the UHMW is a better material. How will you be cutting it, plasma?

Here is a good shot of one of my aluminum skids

I have an aluminum road sign under mine. No welding. Just tucked it ontop of my rock sliders and bolted in the factory holes

I made a 3 pc skid out of 3/16 aluminum.

All my friends with uhmw have bent their crossmember landing on rocks and it rubs on the front driveshaft, I ride the same trails and with the aluminum it gives extra strength and supports, I haven't bent my crossmember yet.

I cut mine with a Makita metal cutting skil saw and carbide holesaw for the holes.

The main belly is one piece and the other 2 pieces are the small sections under the rocker panels

Here is one of the skids under the rocker which also wraps around the back as a fuel tank guard

Here is the whole thing

The rockers are attached with 1/4-20 counter sunk screws tapped into the underbody supports
