Headed to Alaska May 31, taking our RZR. Any good trails. Will be close to Palmer and Walisa and Denali Nat park.

Palmer/Wasilla I'm almost certain you can ditch ride in between trails. Call Hatchers Pass Polaris and ask where the best places are, they might be able to get you a trail map. Team CC in Wasilla would be another place to ask they are a BRP/Suzuki/Kawi dealer. Hopefully some other Alaska members can speak up. You're always welcome here in Kodiak, but will require a ferry ride from Homer.

Going up the AlCan?

Did it in 2000 on an electra glide actually enjoyed British Columbia and the Yukon more than Alaska. So much more open country.

I understand there are ATV, SXS trails all over everywhere in BC and the Yukon.

If you take the top of the world highway...stop in Chicken, Alaska for an order of pancakes...you and the crew will have trouble finishing one order...fabulous!!

Even if its a day side trip, be sure to go to Dawson the site of the Yukon Gold Rush. What history!!!

Stay out of the mountains? When we did the trip in 2000, had a GPS on the handlebars of the bike. Had a lot of laughs asking what the elevation was...

When you come from the Colorado rockies...everything on the way to Alaska is lower than "foothills" around here.

Truly beautiful to behold!!! Spectacular ride!

Alaska riding is epic. The Knik glacier run is always fun and you'll run into a bit of every terrain imaginable. Starts at Jim creek. Most roads have trails on the side and you ride right of your garage. Look up the group AK Mudslingers. They put together events and group rides all the time. Great people. If you need any mods my buddy owns Northstar Motorsports and he's got great pricing. Welcome to AK. You'll never want to be anywhere else. Except the yearly vacation to Hawaii during February. :)
