Hi all i am new to the rzr riding and i have been reading alot about the air filter problems that the earlier rzr's had. I just bought a new 2011 rzr le and i was wondering if polaris got the problem fixed and if not what can i do to fix the problem.

Mine is an 09 and they said the problem was fixed but it wasn't. I was getting fine dust in the throttle body:rm_thumbdown: I put on a UMP and have had a spotless throttle body for 2000 mi. Best money spent on RZR so far! I know it sucks spending $300 to fix something Polaris should take care of but look at it as cheep insurance:ride: $300 is better than $2500 for a new top end!

That's good advice rzrluvr gave. In addition, run the hell out of that thing within the warranty period. I put 80 hours on within the warranty and it's a good thing........my rzr top end was done at that point and $2500 in work was completed under warranty.

Also look at the Dragon Fire Racing sealed cannister unit. I have it installed and the inside of the air filter stays a very nice, clean blue. You can get replacement filters at NAPA for $26

Thanks for the info on replaceing the stock filter and housing
