I have the ultimate and despite rockford fosgate audio, the sound quality leaves something to be desired (clarity), and there's a lack of volume over the engine noise. Is it possible to add a set of rear speakers? Is this as easy as finding some takeoffs from an XP 4? Any way to do this cheaply?

Then you already got the rear speeker wires ran. Get you some knockoff factory boxes, add some 6 inch marine speekers of your choice and your good to go.

I went with sautv boxes, and some better then factory fosgate marine speeks from crutchfield

Oh if you go that route, you'll need these speeker connections from amazon. The connections on the car are male, and the speeker connections from the sautv boxes are also male, you'll need to cut the connections at the boxes and splice in female connections

Thanks! I will do that. It sounds like I'm best just buying the boxes and that factory pulls don't come up for sale often.

On a side note, I assume all this is ran off the factory ride command unit and there's no amplifier involved. In that case there's only so much I can do for audio quality. I really do like the factory options but it's just waaaay overpriced.

If you have a tough time locating where to plug in your rear speaker wire harness like I did it is located driverside above the steering column. You have to remove the plastic cowling around the steering column by removing 2 screws. Look straight up and it is attached to the rightside above the steering column 4 pin 2 green 2 purple wire harness.

Thank you I went with the mtx add on for the back came with a harness that I can't figure out it calls to connect to a output for rear speakers In the front dash that integrates it with rgb for lights bit since the car is already prewired I don't know how to go about it
