I have a buddy that has a 2014 XP 1000 that really likes his ride but wants more power for sand. If a guy finds a take off factory turbo can it be bolted up and re tuned with a factory turbo 1000 tune? Fuel pumps, injectors, internals on the motor? What’s a guy going to run into on something like that?

At that point you might as well just get a Turbo kit for the XP1K, Endless it is cheaper just to get all the XPT parts.
As someone that does not want a large machine, I am building my own turbo setup on my RZR. Power:weight will easily be better while running less power to begin with. That said, I don't really need a lot of boost going through trails and I don't think of these things as drag machines, like the trend is sadly going to.
