6miles and I already have a problem? I went to ride the rzr 2011std LE the other night and the machine wouldn’t get up past 30-40mph…I turned around to head back home and it would get above 20 and it sounded like it was bouncing off the rev limiter as the motor was cutting in and out, however the motor didn’t sound like it was reving that high? Anywho I’m super excited about this rzr and even more excited that it broke! It seems like it smoked the belt so I to the cover off and inspected it. It looks like it slipped alittle bit but it wasn’t bad. So I cleaned off the clutches and the belt and took it for another spin…The motor is still cutting in and out and its not getting up to speed. Anybody else have any problems like this right out of the box? Its heading back to the dealer Monday morning…

I know you said it sounded like it was bouncing off the limiter, but didn't sound that high. So use the tach and see how many RPM's it is turning that way you will know.

todays "so called" fuel goes bad very quickly... it is the kryptonite to any of these supermachines. I know you said you get fuel from a high volume station, but if you only have 6 miles on it- what about the fuel the dealer had installed... they have to put something in for running it at the dealership. To help make the fuel last a little longer- look for fuel that is ethanol free. we can buy it around here if you look for it.... it lasts longer and runs better in small hi-performance engines.

This is the most logical pace to start....

Why bother with it.. Take it to the dealer and tell them to figure it out.. Its probably something very simple..

do you need a number? It's happening right off idle, all the way up to 6500rpm's I tried to see what RPM it was happening at yesterday, however it was tough to tell what exact RPM it was happening at. Most of the time it was happening at the lower RPM ranges, some times it was happening at the upper RPM ranges...I will say it hasnt gone past 6500RPM's I positive its not the AWD icon...its a large "E" right next to the gear indicator

On my 09, the only "E" on the guage face is the "E at the bottom of the fuel guage and it is to the extreme right of the gear indicator but mine shows the little gas pump between the gear indicator and the "E"

I know I'll catch some flack for this but there are many and I stress many theories on how to properly break in a motor and I have tried many of them as I used to roadrace motorcycles. I would get a new bike every two years. While not the same motor as a crotch rocket I am breaking in the rzr's motor with a method I've found to be the best on my bikes...I've dyno proved that the method I'm using works and works well. I didn't come up with this method but I tried it three times and had great results all three times. So I will leave that one alone. I'm aware of belt break ins as well as I own snowmobiles...same clutch and belt system, believe me I'm not going to go out of my waty to screw this machine up, I want it to last, but nothing I've done so far should have caused these problems

here is the "e" I was talking about and also for the guys asking about the RPM's it looks like its starts happening right around 2600 or so? I'm starting to think it has something to do with the temp gauge as it only shows up when I have the temp gauge on...it does matter if its stone cold or in operating temp that "e" is there

I'd say that "E" is related to your problem for sure....as far as what it stands for, well that's a good question. Curious about this one
