4 wheel drive not working.

Need help with the 4 wheel drive. Drove my 2015 xp4 1000 Saturday and everything worked great. Installed my Super ATV Rev 1 tune this morning and then went on a 25 mile ride in the desert. Noticed the back end drifting more than usual. Normally on loose dirt/ gravel I run it in 4 wheel to not slide in the corners as much. I run it in 4 wheel on either low or high and sometimes high speeds. Anyway the 4 wheel drive was not on even though the light on the switch is on. My first thought was it was the tune. I reflashed the ECU several times when I finished the ride. Still no 4 wheel drive. I'm puzzled and think this is just a timing coincidence. But I need to rule it out so Super ATV is calling me back in the morning with there tune specialist.

Could be a seperate failure, most likely is. Wiring problem, front diff? Has anyone on this forum had this issue and what was the failure/fix? I need help please! Thanks

Great! I'm on vacation in AZ and planned on a few more rides. I had planned on doing this right before I left on the trip but didn't have the right fuel in the machine so I did one ride before to run it out. It was a fun but possibly dangerous ride with long steep climbs on narrow ridges. If I had hit any of those climbs thinking I was in AWD it could have been disastrous! And to think I had to click all those disclaimers before I flashed my ECU! WTF MAN!

Just talked to Super ATV tune specialist and apparently this is an issue with a polaris recall or something. Anyway she's going to email me a new tune to fix issue hopefully. I'll download it, install and update if it works or not. If I sounded a little short in my post above it's just because I'm on vacation and frustrated. Anyway I'm hopeful they got this and there stellar customer service comes through.

Yep, went up to talk to Kristen about it and you were already on the phone with her. Basically, Polaris had a recall flash on the ECU for your year and yours never got the recall flash. The tune is for the ECUs after the recall flash. She'll be shooting you the updated tune and you'll be ready to rock in a few! Thanks man, and sorry for the hassle. And thanks Joe for the heads up.

Well no luck on super atv side. I've got to get the recall done from polaris or send my ecu into super atv to get this fixed. I'm going to have the dealer do the recall first before I send it across the country. Just a note to all with a 15 -17 year polaris 1000 don't do this tune unless you know the ecu recall has been done. Kind of ruined my vacation as no dealer near Phoenix can get me in short notice so I've scheduled at my local dealer when I get home. For now I'm only able to do what I can get up on 2 wheel. No fun.
