30" light bar location

Looks like the 30" Totron light bar I just purchased is going to block a partial amount of view mounting it just below the roof in front of the windshield; I am 6'5". I am trying not to mount it above the roof due to the tight woods riding and overhanging limbs on our network of trails.

So if I move the light bar down the roll cage to just above the hood in front of the windshield, will that reduce the amount of forward light being mounted low? Will I get some reflecting or glare off my hood considering my Rzr has a shiny black finish?

Trying to find the best option before committing to drilling/ cutting in the roof and windshield.

Heres my 30" totron mounted on hood area. Im 6'8" so had same issues. Not sure about glare. My plastics are bedlinered and half windshield is covered in black vinyl.

You can see how its mounted here.

Update: finally decided to go with the more complicated install and mount the 30" Totron at the top of the windshield instead of at the bottom.

Had to make some custom pieces for the install, but the time and effort payed off to get the lightbar high enough and not obstruct my view.

Hopefully the following pics will be helpful to someone or give you an idea towards your install.

Using the Tusk flag mounts, bolted a 2"x36"x3/16" flat bar as the lightbar mounting platform.

Pure Polaris roof with the bar under it. Notice I left the flat bar a little long to the side; this will allow a spot to mount a 1/2" round bar hoop that will serve for tree branch protection over the top of the lightbar (this mod will be at a later date).

With the lightbar mounted, had to cut to slots for clearance to get the Polaris roof to fasten to the rollbar. Also, the lightbar arms/ mounts were custom made as well. Made the custom arms 1.25" longer than the stock Totron arms to keep the lightbar off the front of the Polaris roof.

This pic shows a side view and the clearance of the back of the lightbar with the roof. This pic also shows the custom arm/ mount for the light.

That is a homemade Lexan windshield. It doesn't create any glare, even with the scratches and frosted clarity. I am getting ready to order a new windshield cause I can't tolerate the amount if scratches this basic Lexan gets too easily.

I used some inexpensive, poor quality round halogen lights on the front edge of my similar roof. The slight amount of light coming out of the edges of the lights would make it nearly impossible to see at night. When I first turned on the overhead lights i had to come to a complete stop because I couldn't see past the illuminated windshield. I put some cheesy plastic reflectors around each one (boat cupholders with bottom cut out) and it made it tolerable. Didn't know if LED lights had a similar issue.
