Picked up racetech adjustable limit strap. Couldn't tell from the picture, but, it actually has 3 mounting points. (My first time with limit straps and wanted adjustable). I thought it would be 2 with some type of adjuster.
Any idea how to mount?
Anything like i did in pic?
Anyone with experience?
They weren't exactly cheap and I'd like to use them if possible.
Looked for directions and can't find anything.

Limit straps only mount in two locations, usually the top and bottom bolts of the shock. The spacer is used on the top bolt to space the strap out past the shock reservoir.

Personally, I'd send those back and buy a more main stream brand. Why do you want to install limit straps?
Yes Sir that's what i figured on the spacer. Gravity just pulled it back in the pic.

New shocks on a 60 inch conversion. Want to protect them.

That would be my first stop before I installed those. Ask the OEM for instructions on how to install. If you are unable to get a hold of them, or they don't provide meaningful information, send those things back and get yourself a name brand as Joe recommended.

Also I hope you didn't pay very much for those, because they're 29.99 each all over the internet.

As for how to route the webbing, the closest thing I can find is the picture on their website. After looking at both images more closely it looks like you have it routed the same way. It's the same concept as the chin strap on a helmet from the looks of it.

"Why do you want to install limit straps?"

That's my question too. Can someone explain where you would need these? Jumping?

I've seen many situations where I was glad it had the travel to reach the ground. I've never been in a situation where I was wishing the wheel stayed off the ground. I don't jump.

Super common for modified/non factory suspension setups. Some people like to add them to take a little bit of the beating off shocks when they're doing a lot of riding that leaves the wheels hanging in the air. Another common use is flat track racing to help keep the car pinned down for a low center of gravity. They have their place, that is certain.

I sent them a request for directions but went ahead and ordered a set of normal prp at shock manufacturer recommended (and verified with a tape about 1.5 inch less for stretch).
I'll send them back.
Thanks guys.

I wanted them for new shocks protection with larger then stock wheels, wider heavier 1.5 inch forward arms any protection to axle pulling out too far and there's a good chance of jumping crawling tire off the ground. If i don't like it I'll take them off.

A arms all the way around so 4x30 plus ship and tax was more than i want to throw away.

Their sales photo should clearly show for newbies it's a 3 mount design.

I use limit straps. I used to think they were unnecessary. I have changed my mind. Straps stop clunking in the suspension and unwanted travel. Some people limit travel on X3s Pro Rs because they have too much travel and get unstable. Limit straps are good. The best straps are adjustable because fine tuning is possible and when they stretch they can be adjusted. All straps stretch out over time. Shock Therapy, Sandcraft, and MTS come to mind as quality straps. I sell all of the major brands and have experience with them. Ask questions and I will attempt to answer.

Have you seen this style with 2 mounting eyes on one side for adjusting? It appears like it would work as once bolts it shouldn't be able to pull it down (like in pic except with the spacer pushed over against it). However i don't know how well it would work when there is slack (if it could loosen itself).
Most adjustable I've seen are bolt/clevis or mount to the threads on top of shock body.
I may keep them and try out if the prp stretch to far. Guess I'll know then lol.
