'21 Velocity, is it for me?

I found a dealer that has yet to be delivered Velocity from the factory. Seriously considering buying it, but I have no experience with turbo rzr's. I live in AZ and my riding style is desert trails, rocks and forest service roads in central AZ during the summer. My old 800 is great on the rocks, but from the searching I've done, is the Turbo S geared correctly in low? Is the gearing in the '21 the same as the previous years? I guess my question is, with my style of riding, will I be unhappy with a Turbo S?

2021 Turbo S Velocity purchased in late October 2020. No regrets after thousands of miles in AZ desert to tight trails in the Midwest. Gearing and clutching works well in all terrains.
Working with some friends today on dual rate spring adjustments on their Turbo and Pro XP. I’ve also had the opportunity to drive Turbo R and Pro R.
I would recommend the Turbo S velocity. Best value for your dollar. You will still want to install a dual rate spring kit.
Upgrading to a dual rate spring kit on any machine is a given that should be factored into your budget.

Turbo S Velocity was made for open desert terrain. If you want to “rock crawl” and can’t get satisfied with low range in it, it costs all of $150 worth of gears and 5 hours of labor to perform a gear reduction for low range to make the machine more manageable in slow technical terrain.

I wouldn’t hesitate one second to snatch it up because somebody else will, if you don’t. The Turbo R and Pro R machines that are forthcoming are badass but anybody who tries to say a Turbo S can’t be made to produce a grin on your face every trip are just caught up in the hype. It just depends on how serious of a rider and a money spender you are.

Absolutely love my turbo s velocity! I almost bought an xp turbo, but i'm very glad I waited.
We do mainly hardpack open desert riding with some hill climbing cruising thrown in to the mix out in Ocotillo Wells and my car takes on just about anything i throw at it. Currently looking for paddles to give Glamis a shot.

The Turbo S is awesome and now that the Pro R's are coming out there are a ton of Turbo S cars for sale here in AZ. Personally I don't like to buy from a dealer due to the crazy markup and added fees but if you can get it at the right price I would recommend getting it. You may way to look at the Turbo S Dynamix. Being able to switch between comfort, sport and firm on the fly is a huge plus. We have so many different types of terrain in AZ and I am constantly switching modes while riding. You may even want to give the Pro XP a look see. My father in law has one and it definitely makes me wonder sometimes if I should have went Pro.

My wife and I were actually looking at the Pro XP originally, but when we went in Feb of 2021 they said it was a few month wait. They had our Turbo S Velocity that had just shown up that day and someone backed out. I'm happy we went with it. I ride more Dunes/Desert and the 72inch is amazing. Once we get new springs it will be perfect!
