My friend and I both bought 2019 ride command cars, but we cannot see each other on the dash screens. The app works when we have cell service but if I wanted to stare at my phone while driving I’d have bought a Prius. Can anyone give me some onsite so I can see my homies on the screen?

I didn't know this when I bought my 19 but Polaris dropped this feature on the 7 button ride commands (19's)

I was disappointed because that was one of the features I liked and was unaware they dropped it.

Yes they dropped it and also dropped syncing rides with your phone. Do us a favor though and call their support team, open a ticket and let them know you expect these things. It may be lip service but when I call they say we are working on it...well? Work faster. LOL.

No, the group ride function still works on their apps.

My buddy is pretty upset, he bought his 19 and has to use his phone to see where we are...

Mine says that when I try to bluetooth my ipad and stream music. It works fine with my iphone X though. I tried three different model ipads and they all said that.

Disclaimer: This is my first foray into Ride Command. We are picking up a 2019 machine tomorrow, and want to use RC like we have with the phone app, and ran into this deal.
I went to the RC page and looked up group rides. It states for the 19 Models you need a Vehicle to Vehicle accessory kit (antenna) then follow instructions to turn on antenna in the program then it works...supposedly.
Then I looked and searched for said V2V Accessory Kit. No Joy.
Called customer service. She got ahold of a RC Specialist and the part number, found under Audio and Tech Accessories, is 2884449 per said specialist, who confirms my findings that this is how it works for 19's.
$149.99.

Hope this helps....

Polaris just released an update to add group ride back. This time they have 2 ways to connect, via the phone (you basically bluetooth tether data to ride command unit) or the V2V antenna kit. You don't have to have the V2V antenna kit to use the ride command.

You are required to have tether on your phone data plan and tracking only works if you have signal (data) on your phone.

I just installed the V2V antenna on my 19 and made a thread for it

Thanks, where we ride we are frequently out of Cell Service, but I should have mentioned it works on the phone app as well...
I appreciate the info on the antenna, will order one tomorrow. I am hoping my pals who have 2018 models can use this fix as well. I did see the big update and will have to grab a memory stick if the dealer doesn't update the system before I pick it up. I asked them to..but you know how that goes...

This feature and software update is only on the 7 button ride commands.

Well that sucks, for them. They can use their phones I guess.
We just picked up our 2019 Turbo S this morning. Been swapping parts all day. I informed the dealer of the RC update and they said they did it in the PDI. So we shall see.
Wiped out. Ready to rest a bit
