Whats up guys! Im new here. Thought Id share this with you. We bought this 2017 XP 4 1000 from Copart fully flooded and beat up. Brought it back and drained over a gallon of water from the crank case plus milkshake, then Did the trans and front diff.
It was quite the process! We drained it and filled it plus added oil to cylinders and hand cranked cranked. Then we sucked out what we could.....drained and filled again.....finally we started her and let her idle only....no throttle! Ran 5 min....drained. New oil and filters each time. Ran 8 min....drained and filled ......Ran 10min repeat.....ran 15min repeat! Finally the oil was clear and new! We also used a temp laser to monitor the temps the entire time. Repeated and ran for 20 min til the fans came on, we saved her! Now we can start the build.
Enjoy the pics guys!

Sadly we don't know the back story or much at all about other than it was wrecked and had about a gallon of water in the crankcase, and cup of water in the trans/rear diff and a few ounces in the front. The airbox had a ton of milky shake as well. As far as the order in which in happened? did they wreck it into a lake or pond? or wreck it then it flooded? We dont know. Im willing to bet the flooding and wreck happened at the same time, we dont get many floods in Utah.
The water level was pretty high, the cluster is dead, the cigarette lighter was corroded etc. The Clutch was dry but has tell tell signs of rusts and water damage. We're just glad to get her running like a beast again, now we can justify ordering parts, tearing her down and starting a build. We also have a '18 Turbo XP Dynamix with 16 miles we're building concurrently with this one! Ill post some more up

Actually yeah. I bought a few gallons of oil and a few filters. We drained a few gallons of water out of the engine and filled it with new oil, new filter, replaced all fluids...even the diffs had water. Ran it for 30sec-60secs and drained the oil and swapped the filter and repeated until the oil looked brand new again (probably 4-5 swaps). Took off the exhaust and intake and drained and cleaned them, had to take apart every connector and grease them. replaced the cluster and other damaged random suspension parts and she was like new again. Rode it for a season before we sold it. All in it cost us about $12k, the RZR alone was about $10.5k with fees. That water had to have sat in there for awhile too, not the best profit...huge risk and coulda turned out much worse. It had a full street legal kit and upgraded wheels and tires. The XP Turbo Dynamix we bought at the same time was a home run made almost 7k and took a day to swap a few parts, brand new 16 mile machine fully loaded. Now I drive Cam Ams and dont gamble on these money pits haha
