Went out and had some fun today. Took it pretty easy.

There is one thing I've found is my steering wheel is pretty slippery. With almost 700km on the rzr, I've found the wheel is slipping through my grip here and there. Not a good feeling. Time for an upgrade!

Shined it up real nice, as usual. Then greased all 10 fittings.

Need to go retorque the spacers. Have them on to 60 ft lbs. and the wheels in to 50.

I can't believe how much difference the spacers made in the stability. It is a complete night and day difference in stability. The tires grip really well, and instead of leaning in the corners and the rear end wanting to lift up the inside tire, it just stays planted, and stable. I love this machine. Also the Walker links make a big difference in the corners. That combined with the suspension tuning, and 2" wider track width, this thing is a great ride.

Prepping for the new steering wheel coming next week

Here's how to remove the steering wheel nut in your xp1000.

Grab a couple of non stretch limiting straps, wrap around your CageWRX cage and steering wheel. Orient them so it won't bend your wheel. Connect them with a strong bow shackle. Grab yourself a nice bar and it'll come right off.

Now I need to make a little puller to remove the steering wheel. The thread of the little threaded holes for pulling the steering wheel are 5mm metric. I have a couple 5mm x 50mm bolts, and I'm gonna try making a pulled today.

Gave it a quick wash

The RZR where was the easiest wheel I've ever removed. And I've removed dozens. I even had to make a puller.

I made it out of angle iron so it wouldn't bend. (I was expecting this to be a fight).

The little bolts are 5mmx50mm metric. The center bolt is 3/8".

The small bolt threads into the 2 small holes in the steering wheel. The center bolt presses up against the steering shaft. Thread the small bolts all the way in. Thread the nut on the 3/8" bolt up against the angle iron. Put the wrench on the nut, and a socket on the 3/8" bolt head. Turn the bolt head clockwise and after 1/2 turn the wheel will pop off. Barely even have to put any force on the ratchet.

This dude helped me out with the process

Overall it's nice. However I am a little disappointed with the fit and finish of the wheel.

Holes are pretty rough

There's a bur on the edge of this hole. Had to smooth it off. Wheel didn't sit right on the hub.

And that hole isn't straight because the bolt sticks up when it tightened down. Doesn't sit flush like it should. It's noticeable in the photos but I think I'll get used to it.

So I went for a quick ride on Friday night and I love the steering wheel. It feels nice in the hand and gloved hand, much more grip than the oem wheel, and I love how it is closer to the driver and I don't have to stretch my arms all the way out to get a solid grip.

No index on the steering wheel splines? I need to straighten my wheel up a bit.
