We have just released our newest SLP Clutch Kit designed for the 2015 900 RZR. It includes a new spring and TEAM Industries Rooster Weight set for the drive clutch along with a new helix and spring for the driven clutch for factory EBS Models. For models without factory EBS it will also include a new TEAM Industries Tied driven clutch, as the stock driven clutch will not allow for switching out the helix.

The major benefits to this clutch kit include:
-much better acceleration (about 3 lengths faster when compared to stock until you reach the factory electronic speed limiter)
-more consistent RPM (whether using the 900 on a relatively low load situation such as running the trails or higher load conditions like sand or mud)
-improved throttle response when varying the throttle as a result of the improved backshift and driven clutch efficiency (especially on non-EBS models)
-more responsive out of a corner when running tight trails.
-TEAM Rooster Weights allow adjustability for adapting to other setups or different riding conditions

Consistent RPM is one of the keys to our clutch setups. It is important because it helps maintain peak horsepower. If your RPM drops off, so will the power. This kit is now available for elevations above 4500' and we will release it for lower elevations as soon as we get our testing finished there.

You'll be able to with this kit. The factory secondary clutch has a fixed helix which is why this kit comes with a new secondary. The new secondary will let you switch helix out.

I purchased this kit and LOVE IT! I am curious though as to the EBS Helix angle. When visually comparing yours to the stock Polaris helix, the only thing I can see different is the notch location. The angle appears to be the same. I do like the less aggressive engine braking with your secondary spring and helix. The stock Polaris one was way too much for me. Probably good if your creeping down really steep hills but not if your on flat terrain.
Is it the notch location and spring that makes yours better since the angle appears the same?
Also, what do I do to get your kit to engage the belt at a lower RPM and provide more squeeze on it?

The helix is a different angle than your stock helix, but what makes the EBS less aggressive is the shape of the notch. Also, if you want to lower your engagement, you can change to a lower initial preload spring. Your spring is a 55/225 rate and we do offer a 40/175 (Part# 40-443). If you choose to go with this spring, you will also have to reduce your weight to counteract the lighter finish spring pressure. The other thing you can do to increase your shift force in the low to mid speed areas is to add weight to the hole closest to the pin. This will not effect your engagement rpm much, but it will put more force in the low to mid speed ranges. With that said, it has been my experience that the clutch kit works best for most applications as we recommend (our recommended spring and weight placement). If you need help working through a special application, you might want to call and talk to one of our techs.

I have a heavy 2015 900/4 and we ride any where sea leval to 13,000 in CO. What clutch should I buy? I also have the bully dog tuner on it.

thanks
Glad to help out Shawn, the clutch kit we sell for the 2015 900 models without factory EBS, sea level to 4500' (SLP#41-740) includes adjustable weights to give you the best performance for different elevations. This is going to be key for you with the broad range of elevations you play at.

For each 1000' that you go up in elevation, your RZR will loose approximately 3% of the horsepower it's engine is capable of at sea level. So the 75 horsepower you make at sea level is more like 50 at 11000'. (This is with a naturally aspirated engine with no electronic limiting)

At elevations above 4500' the drop in horsepower requires a different clutch calibration on the weights and the drive spring as well for this model. (Only the spring would need to be purchased as the weights have enough adjustability to handle the required calibration changes).

When you order the clutch kit, just ask about the additional spring and tuning specs so the salesman can send them along with.

Thanks,
Adam

Is this for the primary or secondary spring?
What is in the secondary?

I'm curious as to how your kit compares to the HeelClicker kit.

I have both kits with your SLP kit currently installed and can see the obvious difference in the HC flyweights but the spring rates are the unknown.

I'd like to test the HC kit but I really didn't want to deal with the secondary again. PITA snap ring gave me fits last time causing me to invent some new curse words. LOL
